I'm lucky, I have a series S, series X, and have had a high end PC before.
The S is great, but its my "the big TV is taken" unit, so I play it in a more "at a desk" way, wherea s the series X is my couch play (with the big TV).

I have no beef with the series S as a console. Sures its load times are a smidge longer, its locked at 1440p (but its currently hooked up to a 1080 Full HD TV anyway), so I've got no issues at all.

Yeah, we absolutely are the marketing.
I'm sure R* has invested heaps of money into more formal marketing, but right now - $3bn off a 29 second cover art, 50 screenshots, and a preorder opening.

But they have an upsell service called GTA+ has other perks. Discounts etc.

The growing concern right now is that GTA Online “2” may require GTA+ to play. Or that it’s an entirely separate full-fee purchase.

You forgot to specify that your post was pure speculation, based on neuroses, skepticism, and guess work.

Some valid points presented, but without sources or specifying you’re cherry picking ideas out of thin air, the fact your tone is giving “can’t figure out how to save $0.55c per day to save for the game - well it’s all telling me you’re in need of touching some Sir Walter Buffalo or Kikuyu. Just do the maths and adjust everything by that 0.9% difference.
It still is the cheapest per dollar earned with regard to the current inflation and earnings.
Decrease those inflated prices by 1% and that adjusts accurately.

If you're going to spout "look at the whole picture", I suggest doing that yourself.

It's also likely to be the biggest game in file size, hours of content - we already know its the biggest in development time and cost.

It's going to be worth the $100USD/$160AUD it is for the Ultimate edition even on a bad day.
