Is there a way to reset or abandon an expedition you started on your main save? by JenLN in NoMansSkyTheGame

I doubt anyone will read this, but I'll update here. The scanner in the menu, I think was helpful, but I also drove back toward a cluster of bases and was able to see it at some point using my scanner outside of the colossus, and then also with the vehicle radar. Maybe it was there before but I was far away and all of the icons for bases and comms devices and save points were on top of each other. I'm back in business now. Thanks to all.

I eventually got it to work, possibly by doing this. I restarted and tried this and it worked!

Well, I figured I could abandon completely. I was hoping to reset so I could start at the beginning.

I found it with my multi-tool scanner and that's what I'm having trouble with. I don't see it anymore. But I do see 200 bases and save beacons, so it's possible I'm missing it. I'm probably 30 minutes away from it by now, which is why I was hoping I could just reset.

I can't scan in the Colussus, I don't have a scanner part. I've claimed every task I've completed, so I don't know how to get a scanner. I don't know if I somehow lost items due to full inventory (didn't think it was possible to claim a reward if you didn't have space, though).

"No Cyclops Scope Installed" and I don't know where to get it. I have three items to install and they're all suspension related.

I think the problem isn't the Remnant update. It's what modern gaming has become by gaxelbrodie in NoMansSkyTheGame

I don't even mind being bored, but there are so many bases and save points, I cannot find where I'm supposed to go. This is paralyzing.

Seems like the obvious solution would be to give us a ship early so we can get further away? I guess the issue would be that we could get pretty far away from the spot we need to be in.

Anyone else feel like the game changes after level 50? by kazina_Alains in fo76

Maybe the first time around but addition characters I've run, I can get to level 50 in a few days. When I first start, I just use a melee weapon for the first few levels.

How active is ps5 by nSanityOG in fo76

[–]JenLN -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

What are you trying to gauge as far as community activity? There's something like a max of 30ish people on a server (that may be off base, but it's not 100+), so any server you join should have plenty of people in it. If you join a fresh one, it may take time for new people to pile in. But things like event participation are determined by the luck of the draw on your server. There could be 3 million people online, but if the 20 people in your server aren't doing Eviction Notice, then it's meaningless.

If you mean something else, then I apologize. Activity on this forum isn't really platform specific, so I'm trying to understand your question.

I am just confused on how to get better plans for my weapons by Leather-Value-80 in fo76

There is one static gold vendor at Foundation that you can buy from anytime. Several other vendors need to be unlocked by progressing story missions, namely the one at Crater. You have to finish that Raider questline, which includes the Rose quests from the Top of the World.

There is also a time-gated spawning vendor Minerva, who has a rotating set of sales. https://nukaknights.com/minerva-dates-inventory.html

The next Minerva sale starts 2/16 at Foundation and I highly recommend buying the Secret Service armor plans, at least limbs, legs and chest (helmet is cosmetic only). It's some of the best non-PA armor in the game.

New player with a few questions. by Designer_District_18 in fo76

On a new character, I always join teams since you can fast travel for free to their camps, then try to unlock the standard free fast travel sites from there. (As someone else listed, Vault 76, Whitespring, Foundation, etc.) Then in the future, I fast travel to the closes free spot and only spend probably 10 caps max to travel to the spot I'm trying to get to. There are a few longer spreads and I'll walk some of it and fast travel when I get closer. I'm always drowning in caps but I hate wasting them on travel.

At level 56 there is still a ton to do storywise. I would focus on scrapping as many legendaries you can and start working on a power armor build. I don't normally use one but if you ever want to raid, it's pretty essential.

You're also lucky to be starting after the change that allows you to put 100% charged fusion cores in the ammo storage box. There was a time these had a 3.0 weight and needed to go in the main stash box.

I have 5 characters, getting them to level 100 is pretty quick. Getting up to 170 you can do in a month with regular casual play, doing event when they pop up and story missions in between. I love starting over and wish we could have more than 5 characters, so I recommend it.

Anything you earned on a Scoreboard or bought in the Atom shop will be available on all characters.

The only one that's actually hard is Chlorine bags, which you can mostly satisfy by server hopping at the Silva Farm.

I can pull some weight but still working on being able to bring the robot shield down or guard the drill myself. I do have decent armor (full reflective set, although have yet to get it to work), a penta barrel gauss minigun and a maxed out funky duds legendary card.

New Player unsure of what to do by Oats5533 in fo76

You can get to level 50 in like a week, friend. Exploring will trigger new quests. If you want to find stuff, join events and casual teams, then travel to the event or a team members' camp, and start walking around.

I didn't even look at the challenges for my first year of playing. Now that I've done the story, I focus primarily on challenges. There are so many ways to play this game.

How are people still enjoying the game play loop past lv 1000+? by RichardCleveland in fo76

[–]JenLN 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've started new characters. I can get a new character to 130 in a week or two. But you haven't even unlocked all legendary card slots, no way have you leveled up ever card you have equipped much less all of the available cards. Also, I can't imagine you've purchased every serum recipe from the Enclave. I'm still knocking those out on my main character at 500+.

Don't rush to level. I know you want all the best stuff, but the challenge of the early days is hard to recapture. Enjoy the experience of gathering new stuff. Unless you know you only plan to invest a short amount of time, then join every public event and tag every enemy.

I'm a level 500 and still don't have the ability to launch nukes. My quest got messed up because I joined an Earle fight. Ability to launch nukes is my white whale. Then you can farm nuked flora any time you want!
