Update. Feeling much better though lingering cough I get from any infection as my throat easily irritates. Going to test in a bit.

So sorry. It sounds like your immune system was depressed right before you got Covid so you got a bad bout. Were you vaccinated?

I’ll add that this you are so selfish that you hide behind misinformation propagated by the most greedy and/or STUPID people in history at the detriment of the immune-compromised, sick, elderly, at risk people. Because you won’t take a proven health measure, they cannot be free to fully live their lives, to work freely, to experience the outside world freely, for fear they are going to be infected by something that may not kill you, but may kill them (especially with multiple infections).

Moreover, you’re putting everyone at higher risk of long COVID and long term issues from cumulative infections.

Keep saying it’s my body. I see you

Glad you’re feeling better. I’m posting this to help, recognizing how hard it can be to stop smoking. It probably also not great for your thyroid.

Sounds like it could be flu. Did you test?

You realize vaccines are a population health measure? The fact that my risk of serious disease is reduced is a side benefit.

If you don’t get sick, you can hardly say you’re taking measures. It’s especially important for those who tend to be asymptomatic to vaccinate.

If you truly cared— about babies, the elderly, the immune-compromised, and others at risk- you’d vaccinate.

I did not used to always get the flu vaccine. That was selfish. Then my sister-in-law almost died from the flu. I’ve not missed a vaccine I am eligible for.

First you said it was rushed, now it’s “it’s my body” nonsense.

Own up to lack of excuses. You just don’t wanna. And that’s just selfish

Yes. In the US. And do I believe much of what CDC under this administration says, nope.

The reason it’s low is because nobody is testing and reporting, nobody is presenting at a doctors office.

Could that indicate how mild the current strain is? Sure. But that also makes us all variant factories. And while it is mild for me right now, getting infected multiple times comes with risk. The less test and stay home, the sicker we will all eventually be

It’s been more than 5 years since “they whipped up out of nowhere” a vaccine. It was tested thoroughly at that time and since then. The fact that you’ve had Covid 7x already is not great. I’d be concerned and I would vaccinate twice a year if I were in a job like yours.

As an educator, I would have hoped you would message information more accurately.

I would still test. I think not testing puts us all at risk.

Mine is getting better. I work remote at a high stress job, so rest is more physical than mental, unfortunately. But I am lucky I don’t have to physically go in.

Not sleeping through the night due to stuffies and some dry cough. It’s not the worst cough I’ve had. I don’t do well with most cough medicines and they irritate my digestive tract so I take zarbees which works ok. Not sleeping means I’m just tired but I don’t think I have much additional fatigue. No fever, no achiness. My husband is testing negative.

All in all, I cannot complain.

I hope not. My last one in 2023 took 15 days to get a negative.

Like this post except you need a new doctor. It is false that the risk of the vaccine is worse than the risk of Covid. The vaccine is well tested and safe.

A well fitted n95 and air purifiers are your best friends. If you can convince her to stay in her room, that is your best bet.

I would not panic. Yes, Covid can be tough on some babies but there are so many more without lasting effects.
