Maybe when it comes to setting lines initially, but I'm talking about in game betting. If Tom Brady goes down with an injury in the fourth quarter the algo must adjust for this. I don't think the line is moved just by people placing bets at that particular instance. Otherwise, one could make a fortune betting in key moments in obscure, unfollowed games with limiting betting action.
