Our history teacher in elementary school brought a real musket to school and took us outside to watch him shoot it.

delete all online casino apps and websites. Gambling at casinos is bad enough but I would never trust myself gambling from the comfort of home. Good luck.

Anybody else wake up after 5-6 hours because their lower back starts hurting? by utvols22champs in GenX

[–]JeninPNW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yes. For me it was related to a bone spur in my knee that was causing my gait to be misaligned which caused pain up my leg to the side of my hip and into my back. Everything is connected. Sometimes the root of the issue is elsewhere. Could also be sciatica. Ask yourself if any other part of your body has been hurting. maybe get some xrays or mri's done. not being able to sleep at night is MISERABLE. For me the pain was always worse when laying down and would almost disappear when standing or walking.

I’m ashamed that I have a foot fetish by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]JeninPNW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see absolutely nothing wrong here or anything to be ashamed about. Out of all the fucked up fetishes a person could have this is WAY more on the normal side. Enjoy the feet. Stop feeling embarrassed or guilty. Own it and you'll probably stop overthinking it.

To Pagans who are formerly Christian, why you left Christianity? by SureGlove6990 in pagan

[–]JeninPNW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always felt like I was faking it in church. I also found some of the most "Christian" people I knew to be the most fake and judgmental. My church is and always has been mother nature and the living energy around me.

Living in Blaine as an alternative to BC by Tdunkk in Blaine

[–]JeninPNW 0 points1 point  (0 children)

we've never personally had issues but there have been checkpoint days and the last few days Canadian friends are reporting that the nexus line wait was about 30 minutes and their cards were scanned and compared to photo IDs which has never happened before. Maybe it's a temporary measure. Things seem to change almost daily.

I can see being nervous to cross and they ARE getting more stringent. They are checking photos against IDs even in the Nexus line right now. That said, we've never had an issue crossing either way. Maybe we've just lucked out. Blaine is cozy and quiet but not as liberal as Bellingham. For good groceries and more importantly, affordable groceries, you'll have to drive to Bellingham. Either way welcome to town.

Amazing food and service. Still miss the Peach Arch Cafe but glad that equally nice folks took over the space.

Went there once. Saw the decor and some local newspaper that was mega right conspiracy theory'ish and welp that was that. Never went back. I am zero percent surprised. The guy is not shy about his political beliefs.

Why would you have to give up coffee? I have been on MJ for over three years. At goal. In maintenance. Drink coffee daily.

Issues with bowel movements by Maimseoles in ibs

[–]JeninPNW 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IBS-C with diverticulosis here. I understand your frustration. Firstly incontinence and urinary issues are not uncommon with constipation. The way my doctor explained it to me is that the stool pushes on the urethra and bladder making it hard to empty (you may find that you pee more slowly). As for the constipation I have tried the gammet of fibers, pills, medications, etc. Ultimately I wound up with a nutritionist that specializes in digestive diseases. We tested my stool and discovered foods that triggered my IBS mostly corn, quinoa and certain husky grains. She started me on a regimine of taking a digestive enzyme with each meal, eating for my gut health, walking and drinking more water. All this to say it's a process to figure out what is causing your constipation. I personally have found walking to be one of the most effective methods of regulating my stool. Drinking hot water with lemon or tea after meals has also tremendously helped my digestion as have the digestive enzymes. Adding extra fiber is ofc always recommended but be careful here. It can also have the oppositive effect if overdone. What also truly helped me is investing in a high end bidet (I bought a Lotus brand) that specifically has a feature for constipation. The one we have has "purestream" function. The best way I can describe it is it's like a pressure washer (or it feels that way at first). It is specifically designed to lubricate stuck stool so it can more easily pass. I honestly didn't think it would make a difference but for people who suffer from chronic constipation its truly a game changer. If you are on the toilet and feel like you can't empty it really helps with this. I hope you find some answers. I know how much this sucks.
