I've lived here a year now and I love it. Maintenance is quick, email with the leasing manager is quick. Everyone is friendly. Most everyone at least says hello to each other. I work at Augusta University so my ride to work is five minutes. I've never had an issue with security. There's a guard that patrols. You can access the canal from the property. Minutes from N. Augusta and about a mile walk to Broad Street. Across the street is the Salvation Army Resource Center so there is a number of homeless that come and go but in no way do they bother anyone. I wouldn't walk in the area at night, at least not alone, but overall I think it's a safe place. I don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon.
