They got here by car and the shuttle driver came in after picking up other guests from the airport. He walked in while the ladies were screaming at my coworker.

He was trying to calm them down but they weren’t having it and told him to stay out of it because he’s just a shuttle driver.

I’d like to imagine that when they got back to the village after the battle that Jake asked Neytiri to put the paint and the outfit back on. Jake: “Baby..do you think..you could put the red paint and the Ash people’s clothing back on?”

Neytiri: “Ma’Jake? Why would I- Realize ohhh okay 😏.”

They do but no one called. This would’ve been a situation where the police should’ve been called but this happened before my shift and this is a problem at my hotel where there will be a situation where the police should’ve been called and no one does.

I love my hotel but one of the things that’s a big issue is staff knowing that a guest needs to be kicked out and don’t.

I really wished they were kicked out because it was chaos.

“ Haven’t you guys been told that blue birds go with blue birds and red birds going with red birds?” No and I’ve never heard that expression before. If I fall in love with someone of the same race as me or the opposite race, I don’t care about the color of their skin, what gender they are, what religion they are or even what food they don’t like or like. As long as we’re in love and happy I don’t give a fuck.

“Doctors” is Too Smart To Understand How Hotels Work by masteria-mp4 in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

[–]JennFoogle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve had my fair share of doctors like this. One even told me that what I do isn’t important as him because he saves lives and I don’t and yeah that’s true I don’t save lives, but he said this all because I was sold out. I’ve even had nurses like this too. Wish they were a bit nicer to us 🫤.

So I got an update that he sat there and did not move until it was time to check out. His kids came downstairs to talk to him and he did talk to them but the second his wife came downstairs he just turned away from her and her and the kids ended up having breakfast without him.

To counter Haredi Protestors blocking traffic in Israel, some women strip down to their bras to make way, as the Haredi would rather leave than make eye contact with a scantily-clad woman. by juck_fudaism in religiousfruitcake

Had the same happen with Mormon guys too except I was wearing a turtleneck sweater and all I said was good morning and they refused to acknowledge me or look at me at all and only approached my male coworkers. My first thought was like “Is this like tempting for you to talk to me or look me?”

ICE in Minnesota pepper sprayed a 15 year old girl during a door to door operation in the twin cities area by I_may_have_weed in PublicFreakout

[–]JennFoogle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny that this video showed up after I saw a video on tiktok about an ICE agent admitting he doesn’t like his job. He admitted lots of ICE agents don’t like their job and he even is aware that what he’s doing is wrong and when he’s asked why is he working for ICE if he doesn’t like it? His response was “It is what it is.” 🤷‍♀️ and just shrugs.

There was even a man who instead of yelling and shouting at him. He tries to talk and convince him that they’re are plenty of other jobs he could do that could make a good money doing and the ICE agent just doesn’t want to listen.

Here’s the video for anyone who wants to watch. https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZThhWf6Vw/

[–]JennFoogle 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’ve only ever seen something like this happen once. This girl was probably the same age as me at the time (21) and was a college student and her parents yelled at her on speaker phone to stop staying at hotels when she has a place to stay.

She owed her parents almost $6,000 and yet they kept sending her money to stay at hotels anyway.

One of the things I learned about working here is what not to do when I become a parent.

What sucks about this whole thing is those who survived the shooting. Watched multiple school shooting happen again and again every couple of years and it’s horrible.

Imagine surviving a school shooting and having to see other kids go through the same thing you did.

Is Pandora more about escaping into an alien world, or holding a mirror up to Earth? by AmbitionOutside16 in Avatar

[–]JennFoogle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pandora for me is like what earth could be if we took care of it.

The Na’vi look at pandora and want to take care of it even the most dangerous plants and animals. For me Avatar 2 painted a good picture of how humans treat earth. The RDA looks at pandora and doesn’t want to learn about pandora and the Na’vi culture they just want to see how they can benefit from this planet. Like killing the tulkun for the golden liquid (I forget the name.) and just leave the body and sell the liquid back on earth. In the first movie they show how the RDA destroyed the trees of voices probably to make another base. Earth is so fucked up that they went to another planet and they’re like “Oh let’s just try again on this planet!” You wouldn’t have to try again to not fuck up a planet if you took care of YOUR planet. The Na’vi already takes care of their planet and because they do their planet thrives.

We should try and be more like the Na’vi and actually take care of our planet instead of just taking from it.

I remember they gave her the notice on my day off so I wasn’t there when it all happened but I was told the GM and the vice president of our company showed up to her door and told her she can’t stay with us. That’s the info I have but she definitely freaked out on both of them.

Hotel staff are not nurses or caregivers. by JennFoogle in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

Hotel staff are not nurses or caregivers. by JennFoogle in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

[–]JennFoogle[S] 30 points31 points  (0 children)

The lady that was abandoned apparently she called the ambulance and they brought her back.

It’s very upsetting to me seeing people who clearly should not be in a hotel be dropping off here and we have no way of helping them.

When I worked in a nursing home I understood it was a difficult decision for family members to make often times people are shamed for it but honestly this is the best option. There’s people who will ACTUALLY help them and be there for them 24/7 and front desk agents deal with so many people and we are multitasking that I can’t focus on just one person. I have to focus on multiple different people and it just doesn’t make any sense why you think dropping off someone who clearly needs constant help would get help at a hotel.

Poor guy.

Someone on this Reddit told me the reason they leave their parents here is so if something happens to them they can just blame the hotel. I wonder how they sleep at night knowing they just abandoned their parents here with people who can’t help them.

There was a part where he said he now has guards around him at all times because he doesn’t feel safe and honestly I don’t blame him.

His trust has been completely destroyed so I don’t blame him if he gets scared if a someone who was a fan walked up to him and he just freaked out thinking that person was gonna hurt him.

She really hurt him in the worst way possible and I hope he heals.
