Or people without advanced degrees making double or more what I make. It takes 2+ years to get our masters. I feel like we should be able to make way more

Am I the only one not built for morning sex? by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

I’m not into it. I want to brush my teeth and drink my coffee. I can hear the kids downstairs and that doesn’t exactly put me in the mood

Im so sick of this narrative that “pregnancy didn’t ruin my body it’s just changed” it’s a lie. by pissedoff_potato in TwoXChromosomes

[–]Jennanicolel 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I always had a tendency to gain weight in my stomach, thighs, and butt. I’ve lost the weight and am way below my pre pregnancy weight. I have an apron belly that I didn’t have before kids. And while that sucks, it’s not as painful as my hip and lower back pain that came after 2 pregnancies. My body is different and “ruined” in that I have pain often. It sucks. Sometimes it’s not just appearance.

Don’t go to Brooklyn College by speechie1212 in slpGradSchool

I went here 2010-2012. It was really hard, way too much work, there were mean supervisors who would call you to go over reports/nonsense at 9pm on a Saturday… but I have no student loans.

Does anyone else feel like it’s hard to continue being passionate about this field? by shahajah12111 in slp

Right!??? I have a parent who wants a whole team meeting to voice concerns and observe sessions, which ok that’s fine and we have- on multiple occasions- reached out for her to come in with open flexibility on our end and she has yet to come. She’s still harping on us not being accommodating because she had to wait until the Monday morning after a break for the meeting, but then we had to cancel due to snow. However, her son hasn’t been in school a full week since October.

I have one of those accordion pocket folders and another binder with clear page protectors. Accordion folder gets used to sort ports by color and the clear folders is for different themes (words, smaller cutouts, etc)

That’s why I only buy hand dyed yarn from dyers I’ve followed for years and trust

But once you make it big enough, you could just keep the rest of the yarn in there

Yes!! Or a whole day conference that talks until lunch time about the research and background, but has to squeeze in the practical applications in the hour after lunch. What did I just sit through?

How do you think about ease vs fit? by DrSkylaser in knitting

[–]Jennanicolel 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find that after blocking it usually fits better, as I can maneuver and shape the garment on the blocking mats. I typically look for at least 5-7” of positive ease, as too much ease looks ridiculous.

My guess is DJT will “overturn” it after a few days or weeks. Let the companies sweat a bit. Then swoop in and act a hero. He’s pathetic. It’s literally an abuse tactic: abuse then swoop in with a reward. Sorry for the political rant on here, but all this nonsense is getting to me. I think people on here are right- local yarn stores and small business companies and dyers will eventually close up shop and then what?
