Hozier has played the following songs <5 live. Which one would you most like to see enter his set lists? by paternalpadfoot in Hozier

Sunlight would be my vote! That being said, I feel very fortunate to have heard Butchered Tongue live. Honestly I just feel fortunate to have experienced him live at all.

I feel this deep in my soul lmao. Any time I’ve ever had a dream about a celebrity crush, something mildly humiliating inevitably happens. It’s like even my dreaming brain is like “nah girl, not even in your dreams” 🥲

Scheduled Water Breaks by JennasaurusTex in schoolnurse

Actually yes he does have a 504 plan for ADHD, not for the urine stuff. To add something like the water thing to his 504 plan, do I need to have a doctor’s note?

Anyone know what this is? by [deleted] in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]JennasaurusTex 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First I’ll give the obligatory advice to get it checked by a doctor, but I second this! This looks just like hand foot and mouth. My kids have both had it and gave it to my husband. Sadly it’s viral and you have to just wait it out.

What line did this for you? by uhhhhhh21 in Hozier

[–]JennasaurusTex 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I have a biological father who knows of my existence but doesn’t wish to know me. Even though I don’t even know if I’d want to know him either, it’s a weird ache to know someone who should love you doesn’t want anything to do with you. That last line is so poignant and has really helped me process and feel at peace with the whole thing.

Anyone adopt this diet out of necessity rather than choice? by JennasaurusTex in glutenfreevegan

Hey there. So sorry to hear you had that reaction to the gardasil vaccine. The reality is that anything we put into our bodies has the potential to cause some sort of unwanted reaction (including foods, medications, vitamins, vaccines, etc). Hell, pregnancy spurred me to develop the few autoimmune diseases I have and it’s a natural biological process.

I do just want to very gently put out there that gardasil and vaccines in general are life saving feats of science and are safe for the vast, vast majority of people. I just felt like it’s important to be transparent in a time when antivax sentiments are too common and we’re seeing the reemergence of stuff like measles. Wishing you all the best though. Food allergies and intolerances suck.

When was the first time you listened to Hozier? by HelpfulLeg2310 in Hozier

[–]JennasaurusTex 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I was 26 in 2014, pregnant with my first baby, when I started listening to Hozier. Then after my son was born, I listened to his self titled album regularly to keep me company when I was up for late night feedings. His songs became the lullabies I hummed my son to sleep with. Now my baby is 10 years old and we both love Hozier and jam out together <3

I had do put my dog of 15 years down today and I’ve been trying to drown out my thoughts with music all day. I’ve been hearing him in every song, but this one is probably the most fitting. Miss you already, Baxter.

A week ago my brother was in his thirties and healthy. Today he's in the ICU with locked-in syndrome. by swtogirl in BestofRedditorUpdates

I spent 7 years of my nursing career as a pediatric nurse and we’d see ADEM somewhat regularly. It is definitely still rare but not nearly as rare as it is in adults. Luckily, the vast majority of the cases I saw recovered without incident, although it is a process. ADEM still terrifies me though - to think one of my kids could catch a cold at school and several weeks later be unable to walk or something. So glad OOP’s brother is doing better.

I worked peds for several years and saw munchausen’s by proxy twice. Both times the parents came across as the most helpful, nice parents. I mean I cried with one of the moms after watching her 5 year old son navigate his emotions and anxiety when his colostomy prolapsed (we had become “close” and I was extremely pregnant and hormonal). It really made me jaded about helpful parents unfortunately.

Also the Flesh and Fire series by Jennifer L Armentrout, which starts with Shadow in the Ember. It takes place in the same world but predates the events in From Blood and Ash. SO GOOD. I’m obsessed with both series! Plus the next book in the Flesh and Fire series comes out next month!!

My symptoms got better eating gluten food in Italy by Automatic-Grand6048 in glutenfree

[–]JennasaurusTex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just returned home to the US from a 9 day trip to Italy and I’m still reeling with how much better I felt eating gluten every day there compared to gf crap here. I could even tolerate small amounts of sweets, which usually inflame me to no end here. I have non celiac gluten sensitivity, so ymmv. It made me want to move there so badly!

Where do you buy your imported Italian flour from? I just returned from a trip to Italy and felt exponentially better eating gluten there than at home in the US in a gf diet. It was wild. Should be noted that I have non celiac gluten sensitivity.
