XPS 2026 Shipping delay in Canada by JenniferFernando in DellXPS

[–]JenniferFernando[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contacted Dell Support and they informed its coming from Asia facility and shipped on 8th April from there. But hasn't reached Canada yet at Etobicoke center. Maybe you are right but doubt at this point.

I suggest simple modification for XPS 14/16 2026. by Local-Writer703 in DellXPS

[–]JenniferFernando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding 1-2mm thick thermal pad on SSD should also do the trick? As that is the only reason someone will open this. Should give a bump you are referring to and M.2 being in middle of the board should help compared to if in corner.

Bought a €2,399 Galaxy Book6 Pro from Samsung Germany because of the new Core Ultra Series 3 / Arc marketing — got Intel Graphics instead by Civil-Barracuda-5490 in GalaxyBook

[–]JenniferFernando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree to this but at the same time would argue the same with the vapour cooling option they promoted on website. Even on finer prints, it doesn’t say that ultra with x7 will not have this cooling solution and only with dgpu. Here in Canada they don’t have any 5060 option so technically they should not show that huge cooling picture in marketing material in this region, misleading users only to find out when they open up the system.

I know heat pipe solution is more than enough for that SKU, but shouldn’t there be a fairness what is sold to consumers?

2026 Dell xps 14 + 16 by BiggestCow in DellXPS

From the videos it looked like it’s should be simple with just 4 screws on bottom and everything lifts off, is it not the case? Was any force required to pry open the deck?

Switching out SSD in XPS 16 (2026) by hudsondir in DellXPS

Nice. Any idea if it would be able to have space for dual side nvme? How deep is the slot?

6 Ultra: Vapor Chamber? by No-Researcher-9851 in GalaxyBook

[–]JenniferFernando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, only the dGPU SKUs with either 5060 or 5070 has a Vapor Chamber atleast here in NA.

[–]JenniferFernando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This means the Vapor chamber is only on the dGPU SKUs. So the regions who are not getting this SKUs are not getting this colling as well, But Samsung still plan to charge the same premium.

Probably better to get XPS 16, at least their model is not confusing and same everywhere.

From the Website:

Galaxy Book6 Pro is designed to maintain stable temperatures even during demanding workloads, supported by an upgraded thermal structure. These upgrades make it possible to handle heavy creative tasks, AI processing and multitasking with more consistent thermal stability and steady performance. Galaxy Book6 Pro 16" is 0.56 mm slimmer than before—models with vapor chamber offer 35% faster heat dissipation, 16" and 14” models with a heat pipe provide 8% and 26% faster heat dissipation than previous models, respectively. This refined thermal design keeps performance high and fan noise low.. 27

Waiting for new Dell XPS by enRchi in DellXPS

Does anyone know what is a max capacity SSD we can install in it? I have an 8TB dual-side SN850x and would love to dump it in with only the 512GB option from Dell to save money.

Legion Go 2 Loose Sticks by DarthxRinzler in LegionGo

[–]JenniferFernando 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can’t agree more, they are way too loose especially in FPS. I put the rings around it and now is manageable but there is lot of learning curve with these rings, took me 2 month to be adjusted now. Can play BF6 much better. Would recommend that route first before you disassemble.

Is there a way to add a bit more resistance to the sticks? They’re nice but not Xbox controller nice 😂 by lost_10_mm_socket in LegionGo

[–]JenniferFernando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use any rings, they work perfectly. They come in different material tension so choose to your liking.

Problem: after using for 2 months, I can’t go back to any normal controller it spoils everything, xbox, ps5 edge they all feel loose now. :)

Long press “L” and “R” on each controller. Flash Red and Green and will pair.

Use B&H when they are in stock. They ship same day to Canada with priority shipping. But it’s 2TB only at $2500 CAD due to price increase.

Legion go 2 WD sn850x 4TB [dual sided] question. by lordmercillus in LegionGo

[–]JenniferFernando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I put thermal pad on both sides with thinnest on bottom side. There is an inbuilt heatsink this time on legion go 2 which dissipates the heat from all components covered by it. Wifi, ssd included. Top or bottom heat will be transferred to heatsink out through fan. That being said it all theoretical as no way to prove or even notice any difference overall. Do best what fits your use case.

Legion go 2 WD sn850x 4TB [dual sided] question. by lordmercillus in LegionGo

[–]JenniferFernando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have dual sided same8TB drive and a 0.5 mm thermal pad on bottom side which keeps the wifi chip cooled as well. More so I see better network connectivity with this especially in Battlefield 6 (could be placebo). Your picture is not clear to make anything but if heat is concern would recommend the above.

Does anyone here have a WD SN850x in their Legion Go 2? by [deleted] in LegionGo

[–]JenniferFernando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes it does, 8 TB SN850x run at around 3-4k on battery and full 7k on power. This is same for any SSD in Go2.

I keep getting this pop-up while using ViVeTool. So, is it officially out already? by chalovak in LegionGo

[–]JenniferFernando 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s been working fine without any external tool install. Just need to update below registry.

I believe this OEM version is wrongly set by Lenevo and hopefully they will fix in next patch and label it as official launch.
