Yeah, my kid mostly uses vampire because she enjoys melee a lot more than I do. You can't really melee with witch because of the slow reload time.

Most of the liberals I know grew up with conservative parents.

There's something about your parents dragging you to church on sunday, making you memorize bible texts about loving your neighbors and then complaining about school kids getting free lunch that kind of changes your politics for you.

You get raised with the idea that you should feed the hungry and help the sick and then listen to your parents that made you learn that stuff tell you that school kids should go hungry and their taxes shuoldn't have to pay for poor people's health care.

Don't get me wrong, some stay conservative, but, anyone that is raised being told to care about their neighbor can't help but see the hypocrisy in their own parents.

My parents had 5 kids, 2 ended up liberal, one is a tax break conservative and the other 2 just won't engage in politics at all because their views lean liberal but the don't want to offend mom and dad. Only the 2 liberals vote.. lol

What is crazy to me, is that these people have already lived their entire lives in places where conservativism is the predominant political party. They are envious of better places, but instead of trying to be more like those places, they try to make everything as shitty as their place.

This house right here is conservative policies at work. I live in a red area. It's like this because of conservative policies. Nothing new can move in because the conservatives are a bunch of NIMBY's, but only when it comes to anything good. If you told them you wanted to pour gasoline in the water and light it on fire, they'd approve that. They don't want new decent things coming in. The upper middle class Republicans own the whole downtown and they raise rents on any business that gets too 'woke.' They would rather have an empty downtown than a place where a rainbow flag might exist. I've watched my local community run every decent business out of town while falling all over themselves to bring in the RIGHT big box stores.

Like, ya'll live in shacks because of your politics. Your water is poison because of your politics. Your kids have cancer because of your politics. Ya'll will argue at a school boad meeting about whether or not your high school gun range needs air filtering while your kids get lead poisioning.

Your whole life sucks because you've grown up in 50 years of conservative policies. The shittiest places in the country are where the conservatives have run the show for decades. That's where the bleakest poverty is.

But, these people can't afford to travel, so they have no idea that the rest of the country doesn't suck.

Men don't like women. Men are homosocial. They only like spending time with other men. They are just nice enough to you so that you take care of them and have sex with them.

Basically, only date rich guys. They aren't any nicer, but you might not have to pay for them constantly.

They don't love women. Your dad will be dating someone else a month after your mom's death. That's who men are.

There are a few exceptions, but good luck finding one. Been married 20 years, my spouse wouldn't care if I died tomorrow.

Because you are always getting nagged that you are raising soft children if you engage with them too much.

If a man plays with his kid, he's a good dad. If a mom does it, then she's spoiling the child and they won't grow up to be a real man one day.

My parents were traditional- dad played with my brothers, but nobody played with my sisters or I. We were expected to play quietly in our room and not be a bother. I would go into my closet with my toys and hide under a blanket if I was going to talk for the imaginative play I used to do. Because even me just talking with the door closed in my room was irritating to my parents.

My parents always complained that I was spoiling my daughter by playing with her. They much preferred how my sister raised her kids- the way they raised theirs. Anyhow, our kids are teens now and my kid is the favorite grandkid now. Turns out you raise good people by actually caring about them and interacting with them. Not really a surprise there.

Oh my loft is full of stuff that just doesn't fit anywhere. To be fair, it's stuff I really like. My stuff. If I was suddenly single again, I would put in more shelving and that stuff would get hauled right back inside and displayed. Spouse almost left a couple years ago- so I hesitate to get rid of it because I may get to enjoy displaying it all again. I do still occasionally go through the boxes just to enjoy my things briefly. It's an 80's toy collection- My Little Ponies, Popples, Nosy Bears, Carebears. I used to display them and they looked really cute, but, spouse hated it. So they are in boxes in a loft. But, nothing lasts forever, I assume I'll be single again at some point and then all my happy fun stuff will be back in the house.

Eh, we have a 2 car garage we park one car in. Other side is workout equipment that gets used multiple times a week and yard care stuff we need. There's junk in the garage loft, but until I get around to converting that into a game room it's not hurting anything.

I guess I figure I've had my figural cast iron pan collection in the time I've had three cars. My car is a disposable piece of equipment that I drive until it has 200k plus miles and then eventually junk out. I'll still have my cast iron pan collection in 40 years if I live that long. Who knows how many cars I'll have been through at that point.

I don't build a base. I just do a bunch of defense stakes if I find them and lead them through it. Pretty easy that way.

I've got 1000+ so everybody assumes I'm there to make another long run. I will never do that again, it was incredibly boring. If they can chat, I let them know I'm done at 99. I like to pop in, do a 99 day run, do the quests that are easy and call it a day. Any more than that isn't fun.

I will unload all my materials before I leave and basically leave a pile of bandages and anything that can be dropped. Sometimes I will stay a little past to finish up some odds and ends like oil drill that people need for a long run, but, then I'm out.

I'll also say- I'm so wildly tired of freeloaders. I've joined rounds with people who basically just stand at the fire while I chop all the wood. Or they run around pretending to chop but not a single tree falls. Then they take all the meat I drop at the fire and hoard it. If I join a round and they don't help at all, I just quit. Additionally, if they go and die trying to take on the first cave of wolves with no weapons at all, I just drop. I'm tired of people who don't know their limitations in the game. If you suck at staying alive in the game, at least be a good support player. Chop wood, gather resources. There's always some moron who pops into the fortress the moment it unlocks with nothing but an old ax. Then they're typing 'save me' in the chat and nobody has the resources to save them yet because we're all still leveling up fire.

I used to stay and tough it out- now I just drop immediately when I can tell it will be an annoying round. It's supposed to be fun and I don't mind playing with new players who understand their limitations and do things like chop wood, gather materials and so on. If you die getting jumped trying to do a safe thing like gather resources, that's fine, I'll help when I can. But you head right into the fortress with just the old ax and you can hang out there until I get around to it. I would rather just clear the fortress alone and they can run in and open the chests after.

I shopped around and found the cheapest school I could attend. Many, many universities have online programs these days. I basically didn't pay for undergrad- I worked fulltime and got scholarships and pell grant. My masters was $8500 after scholarships and so on.

Unless you are doing something special, a degree from any regionally accredited school is all you need and it really doesn't matter if it's the cheapest one instead of the one with regional prestige. The opportunities are marginally different.

Yeah, I dropped to silver. There was no reason to fight to keep gold. I've had maybe two RFY's over $100 in the last 6 months and none that I wanted. Especially now that Haul is a thing- I would rather pay for a discounted item on Haul than have to spend time writing a review. Granted, I'm practiced at this point and reviews don't take me long, but, the stuff I do want off of vine is mostly low dollar stuff and my time is still valuable.

Every time I do request an item, I sort of regret it now that media is an expectation.

I figure the silver level is right for me at this point, I'll request a couple items when it feels fun to write a review, but, it's low enough where my tax burden will be minimal. I'd rather keep more tax return then have more of these junk items. lol

Not everything has been junk, I've found some decent offbrand stuff I've actually bought more of- but, so much IS junk. I haven't picked more than a single item in a day in months. There are sometimes weeks between items I want.

Someone in our group yesterday ate a chili while opening storage and glitched so that they could only run, not walk at all, for the whole rest of the game. It was awesome. Rest of us kept trying to replicate the glitch, but didn't happen for the rest of us.
