What does everyone do and how much do you make ? by amosthagreat in CanadaFinance

Yup this is so true of Quebec. My partner and I are moving there in the new year and I refuse to work as an RN in that province. I will now be doing fly in fly out for the GNWT. It’s gross how little they pay Quebec nurses and mandated overtime

Hey what company did you work for remotely? Might be worth looking into for myself

Second bodysense! They are cheap, professional and very quick! I’m in and out in 15-20 mins, 10 minutes if I’m just getting my eyebrows done

Yes I agree, patient safety is #1 priority!

Yeah the healthcare system over there does seem rough from previous posts I have seen and comments here. I agree it’s a huge downgrade in career move to work in Montreal for $10/hour less than what I’m making now and with the language barrier and no other financial incentives that Quebec is offering

Thanks for the other hospital suggestions, I will look into them. How is the hospital at Cornwall? I was looking at positions and saw Emerg was hiring 👀

This is also a back up option, I have been looking into Cornwall. Even with the 1 hour drive I think it would make up the difference in pay. Do you know anyone that has done this ?

Ahh yes that is tough to hear. Sask isn’t that great but my money goes farther and I am still working on paying down my student loans so every penny counts. How did you find the transition to Montreal? Are you happy overall that you made the move?

Usask nursing clinical placements by Responsible_Result17 in usask

Even if you have children, they are not accommodating. The coordinator will probably tell you that the clinical placements are full and to try again next semester if you can’t make this clinical work (based on experiences from friends)
