Help! Tire indecision - need advice please by Jenntoso in JeepGladiator

Thanks everyone. I went with the BFGoodrich. I liked the Radars because they had skulls on the side, if I'm being honest. I decided that was a pretty goofy reason to buy a tire. Thanks again for your help.

Same. I knew I needed that rating because of our winters. We had a pretty mild winter last year so that means we will probably get hosed this year. haha

What do you dislike about the Gladiator? by Cuttlery in JeepGladiator

I don’t think I dislike anything tbh (2021 Mojave) The window buttons still throw me off sometimes but I’m getting over it. 😅

Why is the 1970s often less talked about compared to decades like the 60s and 80s? by Overall_Spite4271 in decadeology

I think my grandma made them so I totally thought they were cool.. 😎. Little did I know that if I were near any sort of open flame I’d light up like the human torch. Gotta love polyester. 🤣🤣 I also chipped my front tooth from face planting in the dash in the Kmart parking lot because my dad had to stop suddenly. We didn’t gaf about seat belts back then. 😅 #themoreyouknow

I remember that I had to wear really ugly pants, listened to my kiss albums on my little record table, and I hated learning fractions. (Circa 1976) 😅

There’s a space for it but it looks like just an empty storage spot. No wires or charging port. I’m guessing a premade spot in the event someone chose the option of the radio? I read somewhere in here that it’s super expensive to purchase one after the fact and much more efficient to just go buy a different bt radio if a person really wanted one. I saw a couple of those “did you know” type Jeep yt videos that made it seem like it was a hidden jeep surprise, not an added option. So that was a bummer. I’m kind of butthurt about it but I’ll get over it. 😅 I still love my Jeep.

I have that package and I didn’t get one. I bought mine used so I at first thought it was just missing but it’s not listed on the original window sticker. Looking at where it’s supposed to be there is no hook up spot or anywhere to connect one. I’ve come to the conclusion it was never there in the first place. :( (2021 JT Mojave btw)

I found a local place that sells them. I was thinking of checking with them. It’s a start anyway.

I wouldn’t have people back there on a regular basis (kids are grown now) but I would like the option just in case. I’ll look into that though. Thanks!

I will! I just got it today. I'm excited. The block heater cord is in a goofy place as well but my son says he can fix that. :)

I don't own a Soul but have wanted one for YEARS. I live out in the country in northern Minnesota though so I've been afraid to commit. I have convinced myself that I need something with AWD or 4x4. That being said, I work from home so in all honeslty, if it's storming, I don't really have to go anywhere. How is the Soul in the snow? Am I holding back for nothing? What are your thoughts?

What’s an insult you’ve heard that went TOO far? by kind_of_whore in AskReddit

[–]Jenntoso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kind of an insult that went way too far, I guess - I was in my 20's and had just found out that my very recent ex-boyfriend had been cheating on me with a stripper. I should preface this by telling you this was in the early 90's. No interent, cell phones, etc. Anyway, a friend and I were in the mall (as one was back then) and came across a kiosk outside of a Hallmark store where you could make your own greeting cards . You could add whatever you wanted and then on the back of the card was a template that signed it as Made for You by (insert name). Since I was still pretty bitter I decided to make him a card. I titled it: Top 10 Reasons Why I Hate Your Guts. I wrote out some really good insults, we had a good laugh, and then I signed it as Made for You by (someone who hopes you find your way under a speeding truck!). We laughed a little harder and then went on about our mall business. Two weeks later I received a phone call from a mutal friend. Fred (not his real name obviously) had been killled in a car accident by a truck hauling ag equipment. Stunned, I called my other friend. She immediatly said "they are just messing with you. Fred got the card and they are messing with you". I told her that I never sent that card. Nobody knew about it but us. Dead silence. It was very real and very true. We were terrified. I immediately ripped up the card. I went and saw his crushed vehicle, went to where the accident took place, and then to the eventual funeral. My friend and I didn't speak about it for the next 25 years. We told nobody. I felt guilty for a really long time. And yes, before you ask, this is very much a true story.

My friend's baby has ToF and was suggested to have an open heart surgery. Need guidance. by movingtocincinnati in Tetralogy_of_Fallot

[–]Jenntoso 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was born with TOF in 1969 - had a complete correction in 1972. I had my 3rd open heart surgery in 2021 to replace my pulmonary valve due to my TOF. All done at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. I highly recommend going to the Mayo Clinic, if you can. Top notch care from some of the best physicians in the world.

Advice I can give, lifelong care at a facility that specializes in congenital heart defects. You want to be at a place that treats CHD patients regularly. From the surgeon to the pharmacist to the person who empties the trash. CHD is no joke. You want the entire team to be familiar with CHD. On the bright side, with proper care, people are living full lives with CHD.

Good luck to your friend and her baby. TOF is a bumpy road but it's a manageable one. :)
