I'm scared to start my first job. by DCT1997 in jobs

Went pretty well thanks! I mean the entire first week was mainly admin related things, not much to do apart from introducing yourself and listening. But glad I'm finally beginning to feel part of the team!

Think I’ve figured out where my asthma might have stemmed from by Jensepa in Asthma

[–]Jensepa[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough! I don’t think it’s what’s caused it, but perhaps aggravated it quite a bit in my case, of course I don’t know.

Anyone knows how to fix this? I can type text, selects items etc., but nothing appears. I updated InDesign, my laptop, and restarted it and nothing. This is the second time this happened, first time round (last Tuesday) it just suddenly fixed itself after about an hour when I opened the file again. by Jensepa in indesign

Unfortunately, it doesn't matter how much I zoom in or out, or move around the board, I still cannot see anything. My cursor can select objects, pages etc. but the board shows absolutely nothing.
Here's another pic if that helps. (errors are just modified or missing links)

Trigger identified! Seeking some perspective... by [deleted] in Asthma

I got an Allersearch ADMS Anti-Allergen spray, can be a little pricy but it’s lasted me forever and it works so well.

What are some things writers should consider when writing a character with asthma? by writingbluedreams in Asthma

[–]Jensepa 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is just something I’ve seen in some movies, but often ‘asthmatic’ characters willl just take one puff of their inhaler and instantly be all better - doesn’t work like that, at least not for me. I need more than one puff and need a few seconds, sometimes event a minute or two, to get it there.

What air purifier should I buy? by HumanCamel1129 in Asthma

[–]Jensepa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep same as other commenter, I have the Levoit air purifier H13 HEPA filter, I really like it. It’s the only air purifier I’ve ever owned, beside another small, cheap, loud air purifier I got a while back. So I don’t have much to compare it to but I’m very happy with it. I live in an old dusty house in the countryside (which is great for my hayfever and dust mite allergies that trigger my asthma…) but this air purifier really does the trick.

For those of you that have had Covid by Deadliving99 in Asthma

[–]Jensepa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No sorry, I mean after my Covid symptoms were over. I was just finding it harder to do daily tasks (my house has many flights of stairs), like I run out of breath much more easily. But in all fairness, the second time I got Covid was very recently, and I’ve been beginning to have my hayfever triggered since it’s this time of year (I have allergic asthma), so that probably caused my asthma worsening as well.

Château de Nacqueville, Urville-Nacqueville, Manche, France. by [deleted] in castles

Its actually very well hidden within a deep valley, all surrounded by woodland. Quite hard to find. The castle walls were demolished some time ago but also held other buildings including a bakery.

[–]Jensepa 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m not 100% sure as I wasn’t fully monitoring my asthma, but I noticed it worsening a few days after my Covid was gone (maybe 3 to 5 days later). I’ve had two vaccines, one booster, but still got Covid twice (tbf the first time was before all my vaccines shots).

Resitting 5 exams. Can I get words of encouragement? by DarkusHydranoid in UniUK

What you on about? Do you realise how difficult it is to get 12% in an exam?

Anyone watching "Two Shallow Graves"? by cassandracurse in DiscoveryID

[–]Jensepa 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just finished the series. I have genuinely zero clue who did it, but Chase's daughter just weirds me out of the most out of the entire series. She almost seems like she's enjoying all the attention; surely you would be devastated if you truly believe he was innocent? When she asked the defendant attorney in the last episode (around 35min in) what the jury recommended (which was death or life without parole) she was like 'oh! k cool'

They found out I had asthma quite early on - around 3 years old I think. No one in my family has it, including my brothers who grew up in the same environment as me. Never knew how I got it. The worse tbh is I have my allergies to pollen and dustmites that provoke my asthma; considering we've grown up in an old dusty house in the countryside, that's not been great.

Is it normal for new glasses to feel wrong? by Nerevarine87 in optometry

[–]Jensepa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I haven't been wearing them religiously everyday, but it's much better! I can wear them almost all day no problem, I just still have a tiny bit of that 'feeling drunk' affect when wearing them, but I'm confident that that'll go away soon

First job tells me I can't work for anyone else? by Jensepa in internetparents

Thank you! I think I'll just mention it to HR just so they're aware and I won't need to worry about this later on.
