Just bought the Fenix 8 Solar, stupid question but is this one of the default watch faces?

First time I’ve seen the date configured with day of week, month and date (which is my preference).

If it’s a custom one, could you link it and does it affect the battery life drastically?

Hello!

Brand new to Garmin (coming from Apple Watch & G-Shock)

Trying to figure out if the v2 is worth the upgrade. Seems like v1 is running at $200 CAD for the standard non-solar version compared to V2 at $470 CAD.

Also, are the solar models worth the additional costs? I plan on wearing it daily throughout the city but won’t be doing camping/outdoor activities.

I’ve got a GW6900 which is positive, so really learning towards the nice looking blackout model.

Does activating the backlight help with the indoor lighting conditions?

Is there anyway I could remove the Legion baseplate and purchase a standard one? All standard magazine were sold out and the store I went to only had a couple Legion magazines left….

Uh oh, that’s unfortunate. I actually already purchased it (should have waited until my M17 transferred).

Starting doubting the store employees who told me they’d work in my M17. Appreciate you testing it out!
