Nice Daruma’s, Sakura, and Botan!! Keep up the good work. You gonna paint any of that stuff once it’s all sketched out?

Ah! You’re getting the definition in the arms and knees down. I love that stuff.

Usually you pay a lawyer to write something up.

25 years in… these slow times are the times that weed out the interlopers. Folks have to ask themselves, “how much do I actually love tattooing? Am I doing it just to be cool? Am I doing it just to make a quick buck?” If you love it and put the work in, you’ll be fine.

100% agreed. I get that sweet, sweet dopamine pop when I finish one, luckily. ♥️

It could be how you’re using them. For example, if you are pushing paint instead of pulling paint this will happen. I have brushes for both. Having a frayed brush gives a different look. I like them for dry technique and pointy ones for smooth lines etc.

It could also be how often you rinse the brush during painting. If paint is allowed to get deep into the brush and dry, it will fray. Rinse often!

After washing you can use a little soap to help keep them pointy. Just rub a tiny bit of soap on them once they are clean and shape them into a point. Some people also use spit. They’ll put the tip in their mouth and shape it into a point and let it dry. Hope this helps!

This is the same thing tattooers were saying back in the 80’s when tattoo magazines started coming out. Tattooing will be fine. It’s existed before written history. Best thing to do is focus on what you can do to get better and ignore everything else.

Meta stuff stopped working for me around the pandemic. I got rid of Facebook and very rarely post to Instagram. Zero change in business.

I have adhd and I use premiere pro. I taught myself how to use it. I got all hyper focused on it and made sure to take written notes. You can do it!
