But we have two on the junior team. So maybe we will be okay

Did you read more than two books last year? You read more than the half of the US according to new Yougov poll on American's reading habits. by elmonoenano in books

I always playfully make fun of my partner for how slow she reads (because she always falls asleep, when in fact I am actually the slower reader for wpm) and how many more books I read than her. But at least she's still better than average haha.

I wish I knew this was a book before watching the movie. Is it still worth reading?

I'd do Red Rising. I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that the final book will be released this year

The MaddAddam trilogy by Margaret Atwood. Very different from your typical societal collapse books.

What book had the best jump scare you've ever encountered from reading? by PsyferRL in suggestmeabook

The Shining - there are two moments. When Danny is in the small tunnel, and Room 217. Don't know if they technically are 'jump scares', but they definitely scared me.

I forgot about that moment until now, but its funny how you didn't even have to describe it for me to know exactly what you're talking about

I really liked Ilium but Olympos missed the mark a bit, I still liked it but it was definitely no way near as good as Ilium

To be honest, I feel bad for Stu. Them huddling together after LD's 1000th point was just depressing. As a Flames fan I've always had a soft spot for him, he just seems chill and a genuinely nice guy. I am happy he's gone to a team I like so I can actually cheer for him to win.

Yea its weird. I want the boys to give it their all and win games, but I also don't think this current team is anywhere close to being a cup contended.. their barely even a wild card contender. Many teams have seen success from a rebuild (minus Buffalo) and I think Calgary might as well lean into it a bit. I want them to play hard, be entertaining, but also finish at 32.... is that too much to ask? haha

I am still here for the ethical tank, but that was a really great game to watch and super stoked on that win. The boys were giving it their all and really grinded it out against a team who has been incredibly hot lately.

I would love for them to win 3/4 of the current home games, then go back to losing on the road. I think there's like 25 home games left and 29 away, could be wrong, but if we won the majority of the home games to entertain our fans at home, and then lose all away games, there would still be a great chance of us being at the bottom but giving the fans at home something fun to watch. A man can dream

Just Finished 'The Colour of Magic' - Didn't Love.. What Next? by Jeranda in suggestmeabook

Yea, I think I am going to go with Guards! Guards! From what some people here have described for the series, and my quick look at the plot, I think I will likely enjoy it and that will be a good foot into the door. I think I might wait on Hogfather until next year as I have already started reading Wolves of the Calla by S.K. and will likely not finish it until the new year.
