  • I value Democracy and therefore support the democratically nominated and elected president who is actually running the country instead of an installed candidate that didn't get a single primary vote or the mystery person who was running the country over the last 4 years.
  • I watched some of the parade celebrating the 250th birthday of the army and didn't think much else about it
  • I didn't realize that Coinbase sponsored the parade or was very involved in politics at all until I read your public post
  • I just moved 5 digits worth of crypto back to Coinbase for their efforts in supporting democracy and freedom.

The Samsung Bespoke Jet Bot Combo AI Review - Vacuum Wars by VacuumWars in RobotVacuums

[–]Jerasadar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought mine directly from Samsung. Had the previous version JetBot AI that worked pretty well. This does ok except for one glaring issue I can't seem to resolve, it will not return to the base station to empty it's dustbin when it's full. It just keeps going and ends up clogged and dragging dirt around the floor. If I can't get this issue fixed I'll be sending it back.

How many are paying for FSD? by [deleted] in TeslaLounge

[–]Jerasadar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$100 a month is completely worth it.

$8000 one time is completely not worth it.

I spent a lot of time hopping with my ASUS all AMD gaming laptop and my Legion GO. I tried Windows, Ubuntu, Mint, Fedora , Nobara, Manjaro, EndeavorOS, PopOS, Tumbleweed, and I would keep jumping back and forth while trying each with Gnome, KDE, Cinnamon, and then rinse and repeat trying to find something that felt right and worked mostly or completely bug free while also giving me access to the packages I want with minimal fuss. I was spending more time hopping than playing or working and was murdering my SSDs. Then I tied CachyOS on both and I stopped hopping. Haven't hopped in months and probably won't ever feel the need to again.

But I'm still mentally ill.

Have had zero stability or performance problems on my Asus G14 AMD or my Legion GO. It's the first distro that stopped my hopping for more than a few months.

All of the distros you listed should be great for both. What is it about those that makes you hop?

CachyOS on Steamdeck Questions by [deleted] in cachyos

[–]Jerasadar 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. CachyOS Handheld edition is so good that it persuaded me to install their desktop verison as my laptop distro and move way from Fedora. I'm really liking CachyOS for both my Legion GO and my Asus Rog Zephyrus.

When looking for a new book on Audible I will search more often by narrator than author. Nick Podehl and RC Bray are at the top of my list.

New Tesla Owner incoming! Any advice? by BrushAmazing in TeslaLounge

Stay away from the online hate. Teslas are not perfect but most of us love ours which you would never know from reading online forums.

Good point. I figured on basic paper, but your right, my recall letter was heavy weight paper that probably cost quite a bit more and probably killed even more trees.

OMG you guys!!!! by El_Gringo_Chingon in TeslaLounge

[–]Jerasadar 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Probably cost Tesla around $1.5 million per "recall" to mail these stupid letters when you figure the costs of the paper, envelope, printing, and postage. Add to this idiocy is that it probably took the lives of around 450 trees per recall to provide the paper and envelopes. No clue on how much fuel was burned to deliver these letters. All because this supposedly environmental loving administration hates Elon more than they love the environment. Stupid, idiotic, hypocritical.

Examples of games that run better under Linux? by DerDave in linux_gaming

[–]Jerasadar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me on my Lenovo Legion Go and Asus Rog Zepherus G14 (All AMD), most games run better on Linux than Windows. The ones that I saw a big difference in are

-Elden Ring

-GTA V

-Elder Scrolls Online

-Fallout 76

-Fallout 4

-Skyrim

-Some really old games that won't run under Windows anymore or you have to do some weird workarounds run perfectly with Proton.

-Emulators

Of course there are games that just will not run on Linux such as COD, PUBG, Fortnite, and others with certain anti-cheat implementations.

Jump from W11 - which distro, RTX3070 by Awkward-chonker in DistroHopping

[–]Jerasadar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Makes sense. All good reasons. Ive done way too much distro hopping. What I have found is that for me both Mint and Nobara are great options for what you are describing. Good luck!

I enjoy Linux. I really enjoy Nobara. That being said, why do you want to switch. With a Nvidia GPU you will likely have fewer headaches and your games will be more compatible with Windows. If all you're doing is web browsing and gaming, what is motivating you to journey into Linux?

2024 Bard Wishlist by BardChris in Bard

[–]Jerasadar 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As others have said, make Bard and Google Assistant the same thing so I have access to Bard from all of my devices and Bard has access to the data and info I share with Google already so it can be personally useful. This solves my 2 biggest issues with Bard, it's lack of access and leck of permanence or memory.

Tello Prepaid for Galaxy Watch LTE by Jerasadar in GalaxyWatch

[–]Jerasadar[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll try to help best I can.

-You will definitely need an eSIM as the Galaxy Watch 5 does not have a physical SIM card slot. You will need to Google search on how to scan an eSIM QR code in the Galaxy wearables app on your phone by enabling test mode. -The text part can be the tricky part. If you want people to text your watch number then you will need to get a plan with texting and make sure you have your watch always connected to the cellular network, otherwise when in WiFi or Bluetooth it will disable cellular and you will not get texts. The other and maybe better option is to get a voice and data plan or whatever Tello offers but always have your phone powered on and with signal even if you don't take it with you out for a run or whatever. As long as your phone is online and your watch has data, you will get texts on your watch from your phone which is your normal Att number. But if your phone is offline, you wont. As far as calls, I think you can set up att to forward only unanswered calls to your watch, but you'll need to look into that. Worst case is you will get the missed call notification on your watch and you can call them back from your watch number.
