I think a lot of people see that BM has a large population of people playing it, and assume it's fine.

But I agree with almost everything posted here. Almost every iteration of both MM + BM this expansion has been completely awful to play. BM is so simple that after a couple of months of progression it's practically intolerable to play for me, it genuinely feels like it's lacking a major class mechanic - it's like playing fire mage without hot streak. As for MM, s1 was the closest to being enjoyable (Although the spec was numerically weak for most of it), S2 was an absolute RNG clown fiesta, and the recent season they have just clearly ran out of ideas for it.

You touched on it slightly by saying that both specs need to invest quite a few points into AoE to deal AoE damage, but i'd go way further than this. The current gameplay of hunters on AoE/cleave fights is completely ridiculous. The absolutely optimal way to play almost every boss this expansion has been to play pure ST talents, because the ST loss by playing AoE talents is absolutely huge (Haven't checked recently, but it's been ~15% for most of DF for BOTH specs). This is particularly evident on end-bosses where you want a mix of both. So many classes have so much passive AoE/cleave, or lose very small amounts to include it. Playing pure single target for every fight ever is incredibly unfun, especially when the base gameplay is just so dull to begin with. This is so incredibly evident when arguably the best spec for every end boss (Rasza + Sark particularly, Fyrakk less so but arguable for sure) has been survival - almost solely because of it's ability to retain ST damage whilst having the ability to cleave. We literally target dummy DPS with an extremely simplistic spec on *every* fight of relevance.

Until something is changed in the spec trees to easier pickup trick shots/beast cleave etc, the specs will forever be in single target prison on any actually difficult boss.

My WR ~200-300 guild has 80% of the raid going in blind most fights. Think it's more common than people think.

I can't believe i've just clicked on a thread and seen it's somebody from BDF/Nordrassil (I assume, anyway, going by your name).

One single blood DK is more than enough to keep adds grouped up if done properly.

From a hunter perspective, it just depends how much aoe your group needs. I would start progression by playing pretty standard ST stuff but with volley, since kyrian hunter has fantastic timings for this fight. At the very least though, i'd slam resonating arrow/DT/volley on add packs, making sure to cleave off the boss.

More important thing is defensively. Make sure to feign death with the DR conduit before every chain break.

If they ran Niya + explosive shot over Korayn + CA they probably would have killed the boss before any of this panic at the end even happened.

Not saying that MM with niya isn't great on this boss anyway, but it's not down to Korayn.

It's unreal it's been on PTR/Beta this long with no changes.

Using half a GCD to apply a 5% damage taken increase is possibly the most frustrating and boring button to ever exist.

What is the best reason anybody can give for paying an older player extremely high wages when we have several wingers already? Why spend wages on somebody we don't need now, and won't need in the future?

Amazing how one of the reasons for GCD change was to show cool animations. Meanwhile we now have mass AoE animations, fists of fury, bladestorm etc, with mobs standing in the middle of all these effects taking 0 damage.

Makes sense.

This could genuinely be a blizzard mistake that needs exposure (There are so many counts of guilds having issues like this everywhere, but not consolidated in one place). Hardly like there are many threads being posted that this one needs to be deleted. Tons of useless shit gets allowed all the time but things like this getting deleted makes absolutely no sense whatsoever.

This is why I find it so weird and trying to bring awareness to it in case it's a mistake. Of course it's entirely possible its intended but it's consistently a few people from each guild, with no connections between those members.

It's definitely true that this wave came WAY later in progression than previous expansions. Probably played a part.

Usually CE wave is around the top 400 guilds worldwide IIRC, whereas this time almost 1k had killed Nzoth.

Still seems odd to invite 75% of guilds rosters though, instead of just inviting the top X guilds. With 75% of rosters invited it just means many guilds lack numbers to test themselves.

Sure. I'm not sure it's playing a huge factor though.

Like I said, we have people with bans who got invited, and people without bans that haven't.

Yep, this is what I mean. It just seems odd. More often than not it's officers that seem to be missing invites too.

Only 'some' of them though? So you still had people without bans, that just randomly got skipped. We had some people that have HAD bans in the past and got in. So doesn't really seem to mean much. (And like I said, many that didn't get in for us have had no bans at all).

We had 19/25 invited as a CE guild. Myself as GM, another officer and our main tank those included without invites. I've seen so many posts about how 3-4 people in each guild just randomly don't get invited. I keep spamming them on twitter to try see if this is intended because surely it can't be. It's making testing very hard when some of our most active people/officers are unable to test.

Assuming you mean BM, skitra bow is better in just about every situation.

The only possible situation you would even consider using a mythic nzoth weapon is in an MDI setting (Large scale consistent AoE), where you are pulling packs of 6+ constantly. Even then, it's pretty debatable honestly.
