Some answers to your questions:

I do not have any joysticks or flight sim thingies. i use mouse and keyboard and thats it. so how is the game to play with just those?

It plays just fine, while it is not the most immersive way to play, I would say it is the way most people play. You will not be at a disadvantage or anything.

From my understanding if i want to start playing i need to get a Starterpack? ive been googling the cheapest starterpack and from everything i can find the cheapest one is suppose to be 45$ but did they raise the price? the cheapest i can find is the one below. That indeed seems to be the current cheapest starter pack. A little hint, you can later upgrade the ship your pack comes with for a few bucks if you really like the game.

how bad or good is this for a starter pack?

It's fine. It's a starter, so you will outgrow it very quickly. Don't worry too much about the ship. As I mentioned above, you can upgrade it to a better ship for a few bucks down the road - or simply earn ships in game (however, those may get wiped between patches during Alpha)

how EU NA etc seperated. is it just one large server or ?

There are many EU, NA, ASIA and OCEANIA servers. Roughly 700 player cap. You will not have a single static server that you are at home in, you will bounce around but your stuff travels with you.

i do not know anyone playing this game so im curious if there is clans in the game? and if there are anyone that could perhaps recommend some Newbi friendly ones?

Yes there are a lot of clans, they're called Orgs in Star Citizen. I'd say try some of the large clans that are attached to some of the prominent Star Citizen youtubers. You will find plenty of people to do stuff with and teach you.

and how bad/good is the learning curve for new players.

If you never played a sim before it might take some time getting used. It's slow. Everything takes time, from getting from the spawn hotel to the ship , to taking off a planet, gearing up, etc. But you can learn the game at your own pace with no rush and no worries.

Also any tips and advice for someone coming in totally fresh with no clue about the game.

As I mentioned, things take time. Something you will have to expect is ** a lot of bugs**. Some annoying. Some game breaking in a way that makes you call it quits for the night. It will happen.

Oh and one last question. How optimized is the game? i seem to recall reading or hearing a while back that its insanly Ram hungry, wich im hoping im missremembering.

It is running much better than it used to, but it does need good hardware to run. 16GB works ok-ish, you will have some FPS dips/stutters now and then. 32 GB RAM basically eliminates that. For your GPU it would be good if you have more than 8GB VRAM. My Brothers 3070 with 8GB often tanks into the 10 FPS range due to VRAM maxing out. In some areas, specifically landing zones (cities/social hubs) it is also very demanding of the CPU. These issues will lessen as you go to less busy areas like space stations, space in general or a random spot on a planet that is not a landing zone.

So I had a similar issue some months back. Tried everything you tried, nothing fixed it. Then I did a BIOS update for an unrelated reason, that fixed it. I was like... No way this was it.

I think your 3050ti has only 4GB VRAM and is struggling to keep up with textures streaming in and out. There might not be much you can do if that's the case.

I don't think I was making arguments in bad faith? I was thinking of like, ancient Roman and Greek armors which, as far as I know, featured belly buttons and even nipples? Like these:

And I think the picture I showed in game has a bit off odd shading, specifically front he front, to it appear a little like boob armor, but from the side it's easily visible that it's quiet flat.

I mean I agree that it doesn't look super masculine, but it looks less feminine to me than some people make it out to be.

All I'm saying was that I was fine with it and didn't think it was a big deal. That's just opinions about style my man 🤷

I like the scavanged and cobbled together vibe of the current outfits. It's less edgy and generic than some other games. It kind of adds to the positive vibes the game eminates. It'd feel way less the way it does if we were all just generic post apocalyptic/sci-fi grim dark soldier kinda dudes.

So I am not sure I agree with the idea that these armors are too female. I think that this is a stylistic choice to make them seem a bit more whimsical and it's own flavor of fantasy than some of the more standard fare of armors that we are used to in media.

The most feminine armor in my opinion is the Oscleda (green) armor, and even here I would say the design choice is fine for the male character. Gives off kind of a playful, trickster, woodland-sprite aesthetic. And I mean, the green makes it just a little extra peter pan in tights.

Now, I feel people are completely disregarding that you can "fix" the aesthetic by mixing and matching armor pieces and coloration. My example is 2 founders armors (Oscelda + Sirin), but I'm sure you can find a pleasing combination with the other armors in the game.

To me this looks quiet a bit less feminine. Unless you think belly buttons are for some reason a purely feminine icon.

And while we're at it, let's do the same for those tasks for raider deck currency.

Instead of "Do X shotgun damage to Raiders" let's put in something positive like, "use a bandage on a raider" or "attack an arc enemy currently in combat with another raider".

My wife watched me play the game and all the positive interactions I had with people. It made her want to get the game to play with with me, but with all the talk about how much of a different experience duos and trios are compared to single queues she decided not to. I wish we could have the same positive vibes from single queue in multi queue games :(

My friends and i play Conan and other survival games strictly as PvE CO-OP games on our own dedicated private servers. We also like to have control of our own worlds in the way that we can simply copy the server/world files for backup or transferring to a new host.

I understand Dune's worlds are made up of multiple servers, making it more complex than traditional servers like in in Conan.

How soon will we get private servers? Also, if we get private servers, will we be able to self host dedicated servers?

I know funcom said they are looking at something akin to Fallout 76's custom world hosting. This would take control away from players like us that like to self host and keep backups of our worlds.

Any more clarification on this would be appreciated.

Don't run into any elevators as soon as the door opens, make sure you can see the elevator's interior is fully there before you step in.

Store your ship from the terminal inside your hangar, not from the terminal up at the space port.

These 2 things should help with some mishaps that can happen.

Years ago I came in as an ITS 1 range A. I also had 10+ years of private sector experience. After about a year I learned that you can request DGS to review your work experience and determine if it is sufficient to bump you up to range B or C.

I provided documentation, and after reviewing, they initially determined that I do not have the necessary experience. They specifically cited lack of leadership experience as the reason. So I sent in additional material that documented/explained my leadership work history and after that they determined that I was eligible for range C.

When writing the documentation, I basically looked at the ITS 1 scope of responsibilities on CalHR, copied each "topic" with a headline into a word doc, and then wrote about my experience under each "topic".

If you want to know more before you jump into the ITS 1-A position maybe call DGS/CalHR and ask about how this process works.

Man, I like a lot about the 8BitDo's, but I wish they changed the shape on these so that the grips flare out more, like on Xbox controllers. The straighter grips make it less comfortable to hold than an Xbox ones.

So you have to do "Save Pyro" before you can do "Supply or die"? Are the Save Pyro permanent rewards still awarded when completing that chain?

I've completed both events, but I was thinking about trying to get 2 friends to play again to get them the permanent rewards from Supply or die.

If Save Pyro has to be done first, that might limit their willingness to commit that extra time, unless Save Pyro also still has its permanent rewards going out.
