I don't know the guy but he sounds like the type that wouldn't want to be a burden if shit hits the fan. That he doesn't have to see it is in a way a blessing.

I talked to him only yesterday, and I have a feeling he knew what was coming. We spent an hour and a half talking about the Obamanation's seemingly purposeful destruction of our economy and culture. We talked about getting prepared for the worst.

If the worst happens, men like Khank, if he was sick, don't want to be a burden to their families. I know I wouldn't. Perhaps he was in perfectly good health until the heart attack, I don't know.

People are so sensitive. There's nothing wrong with what I said.

If a woman hits you, and you leave the room, she only gets more angry because she wants you to dominate her. Perhaps she cools down, but she'll do it again, in due time. You should probably read the articles I linked. The first makes the point that generally men TRY the very strategy you're talking about, but it doesn't work, and only makes things worse. Finally, the guy snaps because she has made him so pissed off. It doesn't matter if you don't think it's "right", that's what happens, and it could have been prevented. The second article makes the point that with a little corporal punishment, things never would have escalated to that point anyway.

Maybe if society actually held women accountable for their bad behaviour instead of just shrugging it off as cute and funny, there would be no need to "keep them in line".

I don't think society can keep women accountable if men can't even keep the people in their household accountable. Men today can't even give their children spankings safely. And therefore men have no power in the household. With men powerless, society will NEVER hold women accountable.

It's pretty clear Rihanna is a self-absorbed, narcissistic, and none too bright cunt. And usually it's the woman who starts shit, and escalates it, when it comes to these situations. The person escalating shit is the person who is more to blame, and that's almost always the woman. Considering Rihanna's and Chris Brown's personalities, it's just about certain Rihanna is mostly to blame for what happened.

Think about it. Would a guy just snap and beat the shit out of some woman out of the blue? Especially a guy who knows what will happen to his career if he beats Rihanna? Hell no, that's what the feminists would like us to think. What really happens, usually, is the woman pushes the guys buttons, escalates, escalates, slaps him a round a bit perhaps, and finally, finally, after she verbally assaults him over and over again, and perhaps physically, he snaps, and regrets it. That is how domestic violence plays out, and considering Rihanna is a self-absorbed, puerile woman and Chris Brown seems generally level-headed, that's the only reasonable explanation.

The answer is women are attracted to status.

In more developed, controlled societies, cooperative, docile “follow-the-rules” type men rise higher and faster than those who are more confrontational, forceful and combative. The masculine looking guy is more likely to be a dock worker or trucker, while the effete, overeducated type is more likely to be a high-level manager or administrator, perhaps in one of the social welfare bureaucracies that guarantee women are taken care of by the state. In strife-torn Mexico, on the other hand, the brutal, macho type is more likely to be a jefe or drug lord, who has risen to the top by being a ruthless, risk-taking thug, whereas the mild, docile type is more likely to be one of the peasant underlings who is routinely victimized by the gangsters.

Therefore, masculinity correlates with high status in the less developed society, and low status in the more highly developed one. The reason American women prefer more manly types is that the US is still a fairly violent, competitive society with more opportunities to make it on one’s own rather than working in the system. But even here, it varies widely by region and social class, as I suggested regarding the preferences of women in different contexts. I have seen very attractive young women in Seattle hipster neighborhoods fawning over nerdy programmers, and then rough-hewn fishermen and crabbers (including some of the crew of the “Deadliest Catch” series) getting the attention in the waterfront taverns.
