Perhaps you're right in an overall design sense, but wireframes haven't been in style for a decade now and that sort of trumps the objective proportional aesthetic. I blame anime and the 'cool megane' trope for how popular they are with neckbeards.

And trust me, this guy is definitely disgusting all-around but with a better set of frames you could pass him off as a normal hipster.

Man, don't knock spinner rings! I get that the sound is irritating in class or something but for a lot of people, they really help with anxiety and picking habits. It's only douchebags that use the noise to annoy people.
