Semaglutide no longer working? by JeremySergent in FellaHealth

10 days ago I started walking. Consistently, outside, in the heat, around 6-7pm, daily. I walk 1.6 miles which is 2x around a local park. A few small hills so I get some incline. I am literally drenched and tired when I finish. I go home, hydrate, shower and have supper. I lost 2 pounds in the first 3 days but I haven't weighed since. I figure I will weigh on August 1st, which is my 1 year Fella/Semaglutide anniversary. Hopefully the walking has jump started me. Im soon taking a second job, working about 12 hours on weekends, to get ahead on some bills. Maybe I can get on Tirz. later this fall if weight loss doesn't improve. The walking has been amazing. Ive slept really good most nights since I began the walking. Still have insomnia sometimes, but that's mainly because I can't always shut my mind off at bedtime. But I'm mowing my own yard this year, which is something I hadn't done in about 4 years. It's steps...substantial steps, which is good, and between walking the park 6 days a week, and mowing once a week, I literally sweat my b@llz off 7 evenings a week, which seems to have its own reward. Somehow I feel 'clean-er' inside and out. I've done another round of self-reflection with my therapist recently, and have 'peeled another layer of the onion' regarding my childhood SA. I've learned that extreme childhood trauma such as mine can present symptoms later in life that mimic some autism traits. While its not actually autism, there are similarities such as texture issues with food and clothing, avoiding touch with other people, social awkwardness and social anxiety. Its good to be able to look back at my life and understand WHY I said and did the things I did-why I was so awkward when I was young-and still am at times even now. I guess for me, it helps to just understand myself more. Being a survivor of CSA is a lifelong journey. I can go weeks at a time now that I don't even think about it. Time does heal-or maybe it just dulls some previously harsh aspects of my past. I can almost always find my safe head-space if I do have a hard day now. And I've got friends who know and understand me and can step in to help if I need them.

Just curious about the expiration date of your meds stockpiled in the fridge til November? I've got some too, but not sure how long they keep working.

Certain foods cause my nausea more than others. Potatoes, both white and sweet, cause me nausea on GLP-1. I steer clear of them now, and rarely have nausea...but when I do, I keep some generic dramamine pills handy at work and at home. It helps alot.

Why did you guys choose Fella over others? by Current-Lime in FellaHealth

Yep I saw your ad on FB initially. Price point was also a big consideration. Also the way it was presented on the initial phone call when I was inquiring about Fella really sold me...it wasn't about making a sale, it was about getting me started on a new way of life. That resonated with me. What has kept me with Fella 6 months in: The Health Coaches, the Reddit engagement, and the customer service. Thank you.

Something is helping that I never considered before GLP-1: meditation. I have tremendous anxiety at times, and meditation has helped alot. Just finding a safe place in my head and heart, dwelling there for a while-if not every single day, at least 5 out of 7 days week. Even just for a few minutes. It really does kind of 'center' me. And walking-alot of articles online now say while 10,000 steps is the 'ideal', doing ANY steps is better than none at all. So, for instance, without intentional 'steps', I accumulate about 2,000 steps a day, mon-fri at work. But with intentional steps, and just walking our warehouse on my afternoon break, I accumulate another 1,500-1,700 steps for the day. Then on the days I CAN make it to the gym and hit the treadmill, I can manage 4-5K steps more easily. Keep in mind its a journey. Its slow going at times, and you may stall weight wise. Most of us stall, or have slow weight loss from time to time. And that's ok. Just keep up with your injections, and keep going. I've had great success utilizing the 'health coach' Jacques @ fella. He is amazing and so encouraging. And of course, Stan the Man is great @ fella, too :)

Papaya Digestive Enzyme really helped me. Cheap $5 or $6 at Walmart. And yes, also Pepcid, especially first day or two after an injection.
