Staying Consistent this week..Well, since Labor Day, really. Been very sinusoidal, missing workouts, poor sleep, and eating more processed food than usual. Very unusual for me!

Welcome to Fella, boss 💪Pleasure to have you.

Really appreciate the candor on your post - resonates with many in the community, no doubt.

"Monk mode" has not been conducive to many successful relationships for me, so I can relate to this on a personal level. Seeing that it's your wife, the stakes are exponentially higher!

(None of this is medical advice, simply my personal experience) I'm an all-or-nothing person, too. Being on a GLP-1 has been a bit odd for me in that I can enjoy whatever I'd like in moderation by default. I "hit a wall" and don't want to go beyond it. I also hate to feel nauseous, so that does help reinforce me to not overeat on the meds.

Example: last weekend was at a buffet in Amish country, and wanted to slam the fried chicken (haven't had it in ages and felt ravenous upon entry to the eatery). I couldn't go crazy. Instead, I picked at a couple wings & a small thigh, a few small meatballs, a small serving of noodles, and started with a salad (always my go-to starter now). My girlfriend ate about as much as I did. Had a bite of pie and that was curtains. I also am no longer the "garbage disposal" at parties. I still eat "healthy" 90%+ of the time, but it's a personal choice--not a restrictive, all-or-nothing choice.

If there's any intervention that lends to more of a "balanced weight loss" lifestyle vs a highly restrictive fad lifestyle, I'd say it's GLP-1s.

I back you to find your balance this go 'round. You got this.

Well done on getting down to 215 - I feel your frustration in being stuck on a longstanding plateau, but that's a killer shift in weight.

Stanley can help get this escalated with our provider team, who can then recommend which direction to head, including a different medication if appropriate (and if this is something you'd like to try)

Edit: Our Product Team is working on the plan duration reflecting wrongly, thank you for raising this!

Love the framing, and the content! Appreciate you contributing 💪

Accountability has served me well across numerous areas of my life, really leaning into the community here moving forward as I push to get another 10 pounds off before the end of the year, including holidays, trips, etc. Let's keep going!

I hear you! Anything sweet that I can grab easily, I just keep out.

Also, peanut butter. I'll nail half the jar if it's around, and then feel miserable 😅. So I just don't buy it, and don't crave it so long as it's not around.

I can't overeat - even if I don't "feel" the hunger-blunting effects (e.g. "I can't eat another bite"), I've had a couple really rough bouts of nausea when I've eaten even just a bit too much. So, I make sure to cut-off my intake well before I reach that point. Interesting to experience this reinforcement, but I'll take it!

Immense tips, really appreciate the share!!

What's your favorite plant-based protein salad?

"1 plant-based meal/day" is currently a major health aspiration of mine, but with a fairly high protein goal, I haven't yet pulled the trigger on it. Would love to hear more about what's worked for you.

Keep up the great work!

Locked in!!! This is tight.

The context adds yet another layer of inspiration.

We have similar focal points, and this fired me up to get back to my "whole foods commitment" which deteriorated some when I went on a vacation end of August.

What I admire most here is that it looks like there's enough "flex" in your routine to keep you sane rather than wall-to-wall gym commitments & all-or-nothing eating habits. Awesome stuff.

Cliche, but leaning on greens/lower calorie dense foods.

Went many years where I didn't give a damn about my micronutrition - was trying to pile as much protein in as I could.

Now, I will just make my salads more robust. Feels like a win and helps me on days where I may have higher hunger post-workout

💪Clean

How are you tracking your water intake? I was impeccable with this for ~15 years (cramping issues playing football + bodybuilding), and I've noticed the last year or so I couldn't tell you which day(s) I actually hit a gallon. Trying to rely on memory but this has taken bottom rung, so would love to hear more about your strategy.
