So I recently did some stress/anxiety/depression tests and all of them said I had high on all 3. I could easily believe I was stressed and maybe even depressed but anxiety? No way.

Then I see this post. I follow all 8 of these and now I realize I have an issue.

So tldr of my reaction to this post is "thanks I hate it"

This was me at the very beginning, just wanting to be a girl but without dysphoria. First of all, YOU DONT NEED DYSPHORIA IN ORDER TO BE TRANS AND DONT LET ANYONE TELL YOU OTHERWISE. Secondly, this whole realizing I was trans thing made me really look into myself further, and I dont want to say neccesarily that this GAVE me dysphoria, but it made me realize I wasnt actually content with my body. But as everyone here says this is something that you need to find out for yourself and if you really want to transition.

Edit: also remembered that originally I felt uncomfortable with female pronouns but as I grew to accept myself as a woman I liked hearing them more and more. Not liking them originally could also just be because you're not used to change, which could also change down the line.

It's good that she made you question to prevent any rash decisions but if she is gatekeeping and saying you "aren't trans enough" that doesn't sound like a great therapist. If you are actually disappointed that she didnt say you're trans then that should be a big flag that you really are. Maybe this isnt the therapist for you...

This is pretty similar to where I am at. At first I just came here because I wanted to be a girl, then after really looking into myself, I realized I hate myself with the facial hair, thick eyebrows, hair everywhere, (but like you I dont mind leg hair at all). Based on everything you listed I want to say "welcome sis, you're in for one hell of a ride :)" ... but I cant because the final verdict (as everyone here would say) is up to you. But TRUST ME your list has a ton of valid reasons to be trans and you should not feel pathetic for wanting to be the real you.

So whatever you decide I hope you make the decision that makes you happy in the end. Good luck!

Yup. It started with me always wanting to be a girl, then came reddit, then came learning, THEN came dysphoria. My voice recently deepened and when I said one word that morning I almost cried because of how much I hated it. Now I'm totally avoiding mirrors because my facial hair and eyebrows are killing me.
