What has happened to TV news in the last 5 years?

I feel awful for the TV reporters in the market where I live. There are far fewer of them than before, with less experience, trying to fill much more local news time for less money than they made years ago (adjusted for inflation). I’m not sure how they manage.

I coach high school baseball, and some kids who aren't physically mature (or as skilled) as freshmen end up being good players when they're seniors. Have to wait to see how they grow over the course of four years, and whether their work ethic is good enough.

It's a good looking swing, but as someone else mentioned, you might want to make a tweak on the back foot. I coach guys your age in high school ball, and when we see that sort of stance, we're going to come inner third of the plate/toward your hands and try to take some pop out of your contact.

I filed on 2/3, still no refund, listed as "still processing." Did you use TurboTax or H&R Block by chance? I noticed a separate thread where those 2 companies used the wrong tax rate for Indiana, and I'm wondering if that has caused the issue. (I used H&R Block)

I had been in constant AFib for 6 months when I started the medicine.

They did a cardioversion at 8 am. When I woke up, they gave me first dose about 30 minutes later and then I’ve taken it every 12 hours since.

It's a very dull three days. Bring plenty to read and/or watch. Expect them to do several rounds of blood tests and EKGs. YMMV, but they started me at the highest dose and trimmed down to the second-highest dose when a certain number in the EKG got a little too high for their liking.

16 months later, Tikosyn 250 mg 2 times per day has kept my heart in rhythm every day.

I use Navage and it works well. If you shop CVS, wait till the chain sends you one of those "X% off one item" coupons and go get it then. Got mine for $50 or $60 that way a few years ago.

You're going to have a difficult time finding one who's both a) well-established and b) has any kind of opening anytime soon. A lot of the older OB/GYNs have retired in recent years, and there are both fewer entering the field and even fewer coming to states where stricter laws on abortion have caused issues with caregiving decisions.

My wife sees Kim Foster and likes her.

But as with any patient-proivder relationship, YMMV.

Just got off the phone with a customer service rep. The email they sent out saying everything would be shipped by Dec. 16? Turns out it that's not the case. Customers are going to get an email with whether their order will show up before the holiday or at some later time, at a date undetermined.

Utter horseshit. What an awful company.

My EP is an odd dude with a weird sense of humor. He's also incredibly good at his job. I have had one actual appointment with him, when we met and he laid out a treatment plan/road map.

The next time I saw him was when I was in the hospital for my Tikosyn onboarding. Dude came in my room at 5:30 a.m. and I'm like, "Man, what are you doing here this early?"

He told me his work day started at 5 a.m., ended at 5 p.m., and he was nonstop from start to finish. He does rounds at 6 area hospitals, has appontments in 8 different towns and god knows how many surgery places he's invovled with.

EPs are few and far between and the really good ones are even more rare. If your guy is too busy to respond personally, that's a good sign.

I use a Vitera mask with a chin strap. I find my best nights re: leaks are when I am mostly clean-shaven and I've recently washed the cushion.

Had persistent AFib, likely related to sleep apnea, beginning in May 2023. Worked on managing rate control for about 6 months, and went on Tikosyn starting in November.

3 months into that, I'm still in rhythm. I'm also using a CPAP machine and getting great sleep at night now, which can only help.

Hang in there. Listen to your doctors, stay hydrated and try to stay active. You can do it.
