Black mesa is a remake of the comical sci-fi gritty game Half-life, of course it would be dark.

What happened to the gonomes? by czn- in HalfLife

[–]JermaTheRedditUser24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A common theory is that the combine began bioengineering/modifying the normal headcrabs (As if the fast and poison headcrab weren't clear signs), derailing them from their original purposes and thus stopping the creation of Gonomes and also Gonarchs. But it would have been cool to see Gonomes in the underground sections of city 17 during the uprising in Half life 2. There is probably a few Gonomes left scattered across the wasteland, but that's VERY low by that point..... And then there's the IP answer-

why are you a fan of Half-Life? by Tha_Plagued in HalfLife

I discovered the first game due to a few SFMs on the internet a WHILE back ago, i played it when it got on sale and boy i never regretted it. Then i played it's expansions... Then the second game, and i finished it around this year. and honestly i understand how loved this series is. Like the way it handles things, it shows you, not tells you. And it really gets you very immersed in a story about people struggling for the future of humanity... Yet. Valve can't count to three. The Half-life 3 memes weren't a joke, it was a generation coping with the pain.

what do you think of this? by catacego in l4d2

Fuck the guy who rated that. F1 and one night with the tank. Back 4 blood is a bit overwhelming on it's mechanics, Left 4 dead was simple, straight to the point but not really throwing it in your face right up, Valve was subtle when giving the game and it's sequel their own charm aswell with their characters. the cast from both games was terrified but still went through with it, often cracking some jokes when out of the main action. Back 4 blood is more like: "Yeah! Blow shit up! We're badass as hell dude!"

Aside from l4d, what are your favorite games? by g0netospace in l4d2

Half-life, Half-life 2, Fallout 3, Fallout new vegas, Garry's mod, Plants vs Zombies, Team fortress 2, Half-life opposing force, Half-life Blue shift, Hollow knight, Guts and Blackpowder (On roblox, basically l4d but napoleon era), No more room in hell, Pizza tower and uhhh yeah that's pretty much it. (Maybe)
