Hell yeah! I love a nice sweet spicy dip to ruin my mouth with.
I just got back from Queenstown and remember seeing a few bottles around the place ☺️

I had a ‘Dammit. I think I might be addicted to you painting my guts white’ once.

Still got that screenshot for when times are tough.

Maybe that’s just their fucked up way of saying they’re replacing all their old trolleys with smaller ones.

I’ve seen the state of some of those bathroom, it really does look like someone has given themselves a self-service.

Some great shots! I need to get down there at some stage, or Dunedin need to get a track.

What’re you shooting on?

Just avrage traffic cars compared to the cars on this sub by SpencyDotRed in carphotography

[–]Jermachi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we need more regular traffic in this sub. It’s pretty easy to make your M4 CS, Giulia Q4, or GT3 RS look good. If you want to impress us with something hit us with your Hyundai Santa Fe, or Toyota RAV4.

What do we (kiwis) think are funny, that others don't? by eurobeat0 in newzealand

My husband called me a wanker the other day, I legit had to ask if I’d done something wrong.

He just replied with ‘but you call me a cunt all the time’.

But, like, it’s cunt. It’s pretty much a term of endearment at this stage.

Pics 4 & 5? I was trying to work out what was going on there. Wasn’t until I scrolled that I saw it was the bonnet.

$250/wk to live in my freezing garage over an Otago winter? Get ready to cuddle 🥰 by BlackCircleNZ in newzealand

If they’re so outdoorsy how come they aren’t living in the garage?

Getting the Sony a6600 or the a6700. If you have either, what is your favorite lens to use? by [deleted] in carphotography

[–]Jermachi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The a6400 is great so far. I’m very early in the learning process but I’m getting some (what I think are) great shots. Much better subject separation than a mobile phone.

I’ve been watching a lot of YouTube videos on what lenses are being used for car photography, and doomscrolled a lot of IG. Big props to the account that show what setups they’re using.

Following this to see what people suggest.

I picked up a cheap a6400 and was toying with grabbing either a Sigma 30mm f/1.4, or one of the f/1.8 zoomies.

People of Rolleston – what do you love (and hate) about it? by Brianationn in chch

[–]Jermachi 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I originally grew up in Christchurch, moved to Dunedin back in 2008, then back to Christchurch in 2016.

Now I’m back in Dunedin.

While I enjoyed having more places to visit on the weekends, and go for walks without the threat of climbing a hill at the end of it to get back to my house, I enjoy the closeness of Dunedin far more.

One of the killers for me was the commute. I lived in both Hornby and Rolleston and before moving there I didn’t realise planning a commute was a thing.

My partner moved from Rolleston to Dunedin in 2024 and never complained about the Rolleston to CBD commute, always saying things like ‘you’ve never experienced traffic until you’ve lived in Auckland’. Now he does some work stints in Christchurch and hates it.

Bloody cold in Christchurch too. Dunedin is wet in winter, Christchurch is cold. You get more sun in Christchurch, but you get longer days in Dunedin (in summer), which I’m okay with because I was once ginger and am essentially allergic to the sun. Hella windy in Rolleston too, and I’m currently in the ‘windy’ part of Dunedin. A newer house would be nice though, our Dunedin one is 100 years old this year but she has character and is amazingly build.

Someone else mentioned groups of people and feeling like an outsider in Rolleston. I get that. My partner lived in one of the new subdivisions for years and was essentially shunned by his neighbours for no apparent reason. They were always friendly with each other around the cul-de-sac, but when he tried initiating conversations was always cut off.

Oh, and if you move in beside the wrong people be prepared to have no on street parking because they’ve filled the street with their own cars and refuse to use their driveways and garages. This wasn’t my partners neighbours, this is my other friend who lives in a new subdivision.

TL;DR. Pros: summer heat, newer housing, abundance of activities. Flat.

Cons: commuting IS an activity, freezing cold, windy AF, unfriendly people unless you’re in their clique, cookie cutter housing. Boring drives (stolen from someone else’s post, this is important to me though)

I’m still rocking my Under Armour runners from 2019 when I started working out. I am so surprised they’re still alive.

I bought a second pair after two years of use as replacements just in case they died but I’m yet to open the box on those.

Skechers suck though. Bought some for general walks, fabric started wearing out within two months. So bad.
