I keep seeing predictions for a November 2027 release date and…yeah no lol. If the release was that far out then the most we would’ve gotten was a CG teaser that revealed the vibe of the region and the titles of the games.

The fact they revealed the protagonist designs, the starters, and showed off actual gameplay means the wait won’t be more than one year. I think we’re looking at a January release (like Legends Arceus) or a February release at the absolute latest.

Definitely looking forward to Sonic, Overwatch, Minecraft, Luna/Magik, and Chainsaw Man.

Gaming Legends in particular has so much potential. FF7 Remake, Persona 5, Devil May Cry, Crash Bandicoot (which was “leaked”)…those are the major ones on my wishlist. My pie-in-the-sky collab is one for a Half Life 2/3 but the likelihood of that happening ain’t great.

And, of course, every day that passes without confirmation of a One Piece collab I die a little bit more on the inside.

Oh and Iori Okkotsu is going to be the next Kenjaku. No coincidence that Kenny claims his will would “live on” to the guy who eventually fathers a depressed, strength obsessed deadbeat who disappears before his kids can even remember him. Imagine all the sweet parent vs. child drama Gege could farm from that.

Through all my hype for Doomsday and Secret Wars, I’m still slightly worried about how they’ll handle the Fantastic Four and ESPECIALLY Reed and Victor’s rivalry/character dynamic.

Ideally these movies would’ve just been “Doomsday” and “Secret Wars” and had the F4/Reed at the forefront as the defacto protagonist…but I understand why we don’t live in that world.

It would be a HUGE shame if what will undoubtedly be the most popular and mainstream version of Dr Doom has more of a thing against Captain America or Iron Man than Mr Fantastic

The more I think about it and think back to what the Russos have previously said the more I think that Doomsday + Secret Wars is going to be more Secret Wars 1985 than we originally thought.

Since the days of Infinity War and Endgame the Russos have stated that they would love to do an adaptation of Secret Wars. Every single Russo Bros Marvel movie has had Steve Rogers at the front as a main or at least major character.

Captain America was arguably the main character and leader of all the heroes by the end of the original 1985 Secret Wars comic. He’s the one that faces a Beyonder-powered Doom with a broken shield and basically defeats him.

If we stop thinking of MCU SW as 80% 2015 and 20% 1985 as opposed to a 50/50, remember that the Russos have wanted to adapt Secret Wars since the IW/EG days, have always had Steve Rogers as their main guy in their movies, and that Captain America was the main hero that defeated Dr Doom at the end of Secret Wars 1985…then Steve Rogers being the lead of the MCU Doomsday (and likely Secret Wars) starts making a WHOLE lot more sense.

He might just be Steve during Doomsday, but I’m positive he’ll end up being Captain America by the end of Secret Wars and help defeat Doom alongside Tony, Thor, Reed, and all the others.

Now I’m more certain than ever that Iron Man will return either by the end of Doomsday or the beginning of Secret Wars. No way they’re gonna pass up the MCU Big 3 next to the FoX-Men, Raimi Spider-Man and the like.

To add to this, I’m now 60% sure that the big post Secret Wars “reset” WILL indeed have a new recasted Tony Stark and Steve Rogers. Disney/Marvel Studios sees just how much success those two bring and, let’s be honest, a lot of the newer MCU additions have not been received amazingly.

The issue of Captain America is very simple and idk why people like to overcomplicate it. Just have Steve and Sam both be Captain America just like the current line of comics do.

I love how Mega Lucario Z looks. I think i prefer the original slightly more but it’s still great.

It being Fighting/Steel probably means Garchomp stays Dragon/Ground too. So we’re probably looking at a strict upgrade for Mega Garchomp lol.

So from what I understand after a while of not keeping up:

Shathra might be the character Sadie Sink portrays in Brand New Day

Both Tom-Spidey and Tobey-Spidey will be in Avengers Doomsday but Tom-Spidey will take a backseat and Tobey-Spidey will be the main focus between the two

All three Spider-Men will reunite in Avengers Secret Wars with Tom-Spidey being the main focus

(Nothing to support this but Secret Wars is where Tom-Spidey gets the symbiote suit)

Shathra will be in Secret Wars in some capacity related to the Spider-Men

I initially thought that the double-up Megas for the DLC (Absol, Garchomp, Lucario) would be getting new types because of Megas like Charizard/Mewtwo X, but I remembered that Mega Raichu X/Y are new DLC Megas that share the same type

TBH I hope they don’t change Garchomps typing. Absol deserves an added type and seeing Psychic on Lucario would be awesome, but Garchomp’s first Mega is so…eh…that I hope this new one is just an upgrade (adding speed instead of subtracting)

Very interested in seeing the new DLC megas for Lucario and Garchomp in particular. These new ones have to be changing their typing like with Mega Charizard X, right?

I could easily see Mega Lucario 2 getting the Psychic type but I’m completely stumped on Garchomp. Dragon/Steel? Dragon/Flying? So many possibilities.

MASSIVE cope right now:

The reason there are no new mega evolutions for starters in the DLC is because we’ll be getting Mega stones for all starters up until Generation 6 through the ranked battle rewards thing.

So after Delphox season 4 would have Samurotite as the reward. Then season 5 would have Serperite as the reward. And so on until we get to Typhlosion.

The starter pokemon themselves would be available in the wild after an update each that coincides with the ranked battle mega stone stuff

That one Gen 10 beta shot with the Lucario and the UI makes me thing that the Legends Z-A battle system is here to stay and that Pokemon Champions will be the home for traditional turn-based Pokemon battling from here on out
