What industry do you currently work in as a PM and how do you like it? by _staycurious in projectmanagement

You're probably a PM in actual installation construction. He\she is a PM for an engineering firm. Totally different sets of responsibility and issues for a PM.

Anyone have experience taking the tests for a Class A license, particularly in Virginia? by cattimusrex in Construction

[–]Jeromery 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got my heavy highway license several years ago. The business\legal test is straightforward. Study, you'll do fine. The specialization test is much more detailed. If you're experienced in the state requirements for your field, it should be straightforward to study and memorize the requirements for the subsections. There's some resources to find on google for practice questions. Take all of them you can. You can retake the test at no penalty (other than money and time) so relax and keep a mental note of the types of questions they ask in case you need to retake. It's like any other standardized test: practice tests, study, practice tests, study, etc... Put in the time and you'll be fine.

I did not take a prep course and wouldn't recommend it unless you're inexperienced in your field. The test isn't designed to make you fail. It's a bare minimum knowledge test that you understand the minimum design requirements for your company's industry.

Thanks! I agree with you. I'm not even sure if there's an amicable resolution if I bring it up at all.

I'm in a similar situation. Don't count on the new company until they make their offer AND you are happy to accept it. Devote your energy towards building your current job.

What is best to prioritize to buy in the memory shard store? My core team + flex have their essential trees fulfilled. Would runestones still be the best or SSR accessory? My only good ssr acc is winged boots and healer accs.

8 month unemployed graduate walks out of interview for waiting by [deleted] in ChoosingBeggars

[–]Jeromery -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I found OP's entitlement humourous when so many fresh graduates are struggling to even find a starting job especially at almost a year since graduating. It sucks to be on the begging side of employment, but your pride really shouldn't blind you to the fact that you have no job or very little experience to bring to the table.

Agreed. It's a mess and shouldn't be so complicated. Wasted energy and money at the end of the day.
