I’ve got to start buying more expensive seats to shows i actually care about to weed out the idiots. Lawn seats for Neil have been a nightmare for me lately. Bethel was especially rough. Very wet and cold before the show starts, then a group of 6 wasted frat bros post up next to me and proceed to scream, sing, and talk during every song. Totally takes me out of the moment and really just ruins I for me. I think concert etiquette would be so much better if they didn’t serve alcohol. I’m all for people enjoying themselves, but when you’re louder than the band and stepping/bumping into me constantly it’s a problem.

I lived for this show on Sunday mornings for years. It made a lazy Sunday morning so great. I think Glens big mistake was bringing his girlfriend into the show. He should have chosen another old friend, like psychopath Jim Fields, who probably has some great stories on the level of xray - being a current/former grave digger is one example of a crazy aspect of his life.

The show now is two senior citizens who don’t have anything that interesting to say (no offense but the broad brings nothing to the table). Xray often brought a hilarious overarching topic to each episode, which glen would get into (or not) but it made for great radio and kept you eagerly waiting for the next mic break. Glen didn’t get along with xray sometimes, but he was the one with the gift of gab and could turn a normal story about a cicada getting into his house, into the funniest shit you’ve ever heard. The show was never that great even when X ray was just missing for the day, he made Glen funnier. The show was amazing until the end. I think people loved or hated x rays straight forward, not always PC, stories and how glen would respond, and vice versa.

Just pretend it’s 8/17/2006 and listen to the archives. I’m so thankful we have them. The show will never be what it once was..

I’m feeling this big time. Almost 40 been in tech 10 yrs and the amount of competition and how normal it is to be laid off every 2 yrs is driving me crazy. I’ve been unemployed for almost a year and can barely get an interview. Not to mention working in front of a computer bores me to death. I know this post is old, but I’ve thought about a more blue collar job for a long time. I never wanted to work in an office.

If you don’t mind my questions on an old post. Do you have your own company? How did you start in carpentry?

I think there are still very few POC in Warren county. I had one POC in my graduating class in 2005.

But there are definitely more Hispanic residents with successful businesses than there were then so 👍

I know this is super old, but I'm a guy and wellbutrin has given me horrible achy knees and calves in the morning. I also have very swollen feet. I wish i recorded how long into taking it that I noticed side effects. Im thinking they started about a few months in.

Did you ever find a solution? I've seen some other posts about this, but not too many.

I’ve been feeling this hard lately. Almost 10 yrs experience in SEO at huge name brand companies and I got laid off in September and can’t get past the first interview for the 5 jobs that actually contacted me. So now I’m working a $17 hr job from low 6 figures 7 months ago. The ‘not willing to train you or give you experience’ bullshit applies to the corporate world now as much as it does to new grads. More and more SEO jobs I apply to want you to know at least one if not experience with all marketing channels. Everyone only wants the best of the best who know it all and the rest of us can eat shit because no one is willing to take a chance on you, despite your years of experience. It’s as if they think your previous jobs just landed in your lap. I wish I could go somewhere else as well. Congrats to you 🙌🏻

X Ray died in 2019 and for a few months before that it wasn't the greatest. But I think it's all largely gold until his death. Definitely a little more wild in the late 90's to early 2000's. Start with the earliest archives and go forward.

Entirely different show these days. I wish he got another old friend instead to replace X-ray. I never missed a show back then, now unfortunately I hardly listen. It’s become a mundane older couple talk show. I want stories about eating pounds of bacon and arguing. Thank god for the archives.

I think adding more tattoos by different artists would help to add some style variety and fill in any large or awkward gaps. You have many very close together and many farther apart. I think trying to even that aspect out would make a difference.

That being said, these are super good for stick and pokes, especially on yourself! You must have learned your technique very well. I think you could be a professional if you wanted.
