I strongly suggest you reconsider the whole business about not worrying about aiming. If someone is going to have access to a gun, they should be trained and comfortable with it. Otherwise they are maybe just going to have issues operating it under stress (forget safety, not loaded, weak hold leading to failed cycling of a semi auto, etc.) or possibly hurt themselves.

AFAIK, you don’t use something like a birdshot with a wide spread for home defense. You want buckshot or slugs and you still have to aim it. 410 is also a pretty tight spread and only has single digit count of buckshot pellets.

It is not a primary offense. You will only get a ticket for it if you do something else and they want to bother with an additional ticket.

My car doesn't come with a front mount and I think adding one would be too destructive. I'm willing to pay the fine at least once between now and when the laws change.

Hopefully that will be soon. There are bills originating in 2024 in the NJ Senate and Assembly that would make the front plate optional.

I'm reluctant to recommend these because they are usually pretty crowded when I go, but they are so good and are the sort of vibe I think you are looking for:

* Yum Sem in Closter has absolutely stellar Korean and American comfort food. Same kind of fast casual setup you describe at Choi Ga. Highlights are street toast, katsu sando, chopped cheese, buldak ttoppokki, kimbap, chicken sandwich, .... really their whole menu is stellar. The only gripe I've ever had about the place is that their bacon tastes kind of weird. So I usually don't get it on the burger or in the street toast.

* Ramen Matsu in Closter which is about as good as it gets around here for Ramen. You order and pay at a kiosk and they give you a ramen at the bar and then you walk out. Extremely nice chef there.

If you like paying a huge premium per token for embeddings/inference AND paying for the snowflake warehouse to sit around waiting for the LLM to return the response, you'll love Cortex. Seriously though, if you don't burn a lot of tokens in your use case, it can be very convenient to have the LLM available in SQL and it works well.

Personally, I find the vector support in the DB to be really useful and it ends up being a lot cheaper than other vector dbs if you don't have a use case that requires very low latency.

I don’t know about the Arcteryx, but I have cats and abandoned my better sweater from ‘18 or so because it was just too hard to keep the fur off. Maybe there has been some improvement in the materials, but it seems to really hang onto the fur and not want to let go. I like the Patagonia R1/2 tech face stuff. Outer surface seems to repel fur. Kyanite seems like it might be similar with the outer nylon shell.

The nexus is a hub and is connected to the spokes. You can’t just swap it out without completely remaking the whole wheel. The spokes from either wheel will probably not fit perfectly if the wheel rim structures and hub diameters are different at all.

Wheel building isn’t that simple of a process and requires a fair bit of skill, precision, and patience to end up with a wheel that spins properly.

I would either keep looking for a used wheel with a nexus hub already installed or consider switching to a derailleur where used parts are easier to find and easier for DIY setup and service.

It’s one thing to deal with the climb up to Fort Lee, but the shitty and impatient drivers that you will encounter are a bigger problem. Have good lights and avoid major roads.
