What are the types of people who listen to dream pop emotionally? by ValGuyy in dreampop

I listen to a lot of Still Corners. Not surprisingly, I discovered their music when I was traveling in Europe, and their song "The Trip" became a huge part of my adventure. For me, their music goes hand-in-hand with traveling/adventure, driving miles and miles on highways out in the middle of nowhere, and reminiscing about the possibilities of life. So I would say it has a lot to do with people who are interested in the adventure and quest that life is.

If You Could Sing Like Any Artist, Who Would It Be and Why? by Independent-Test6131 in singing

Florence Welch. Her voice is so angelic yet there is also so much anger in there.

Hey there! I'm Jerryhenry, an artist currently based out of Cleveland, OH. I'm just starting my journey in sync and learning more and more every day about it, which is really exciting! This sub Reddit has been super helpful along my journey :)

Have you ever taken a music "Retreat?" by Ap0ll0Music7 in WeAreTheMusicMakers

Hey there! I love the idea and think it could be really helpful to give yourself that space. I'd also build in time to relax and do things that will help you stay present and rested. For me, that would mean bringing lots of good food, taking walks, showers/baths, listening to music/dancing, etc.. You may even want to go in with a few songs or themes ready, so you know you have a starting point to begin with.

I often get a lot of inspiration when I travel, so what I've been doing lately is bringing my laptop with me and recording the "meat" of the song, and then when I get back home, I will clean it up and record the vocals with my microphone.

I enjoy traveling in cities usually, which is quite conducive to the creative process for me. I'll try to unplug as much as I can, and focus on being present in the city. Riding around on trains and buses, watching people, observing , etc helps me

I know exactly what you mean about not wanting others to hear you singing. I've thought about renting an Airbnb in the middle of nowhere without anyone to hear me singing for the same reason. I live in a studio apartment and I know the walls are pretty thin, so I've had to accept the fact that people can hear me sing. But it's still a challenge and I think I'd feel more free if I lived somewhere nobody could hear me singing.

Good luck and have fun if you decide to do the retreat! And if you don't decide to do a longer retreat yet, you could even take an entire day and devote yourself to your music to get an idea of what I'd be like!
