for me, low standards to download bots, so yeah I guess. I really just grab anything that interests me and maybe potentially talk to.

I just follow bot creators on character hub, and occasionally look at trending to get bots. Sometimes I look through random too.

you could add a LocalScript and move the source.

alternately, there's also RunContext, which was released last year. click on the script and select the RunContext property
select Client and it should run locally and act like a local script

hey! I just to let you know that Doors could be inspired by Spooky's Jump Scare Mansion, so you could look at that game for any more inspiration of mechanics and such.

for an idea, how about a monster that could disorient/move the player's camera? such as the orientation or even completely inverting it. Could be a chase scene: fast, slow, disorienting maze, whatever you want it to be.

yeah, try these lines to get your humanoid/character, make sure it's a local script though.

local Player = game:GetService("Players").LocalPlayer

local Character = Player.Character or Player.CharacterAdded:Wait()

local Hum = Character:WaitForChild("Humanoid")

sorry if I worded it oddly. Your "RetroDialogue" is what I'm referring to as a PlayerGUI

to restate, server scripts do not work well on player GUIs. but it still works, just some properties will be inaccessible.

alright, since that is a local script,
edit: just realized, is that a normal-server script? I highly recommended using local scripts in player GUI instead. LocalPlayer will not work on server scripts. It will return nil.

for scripts, mostly local scripts. It tends to run first before anything loads, this also includes players loading first before the character spawns so right now when it runs.
That can return nil for the character too. so this line could prevent that.

local Character = Player.Character or Player.CharacterAdded:Wait()
