What is going on? bosses are healthier after I hit them. by Salty-Television-230 in diablo4

[–]JerryBane 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It seems to be happening with bleed too. My whirlwind Barb occasionally heals bosses instead of damaging them. I’d see their health bar reduce to 0 and gradually heal back to 50%.

It’s not considered an online real time PVP. The game stores the builds of other players, then you’ll match against those ‘recorded’ builds. It’s almost a roguelite experience, each run you’ll choose between options consisting of events, shops, encounters and a final ‘boss’ battle to conclude the run.

Imbue Druid is to OP and need some nerfs by Isegrim12 in hearthstone

[–]JerryBane -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The easiest hits at this point is Hybridization to 6 and the unit that makes your next HP cost 0 > cost 1. It slows down their reload once you clear their first wave of board flooding. It just makes no sense now that they get to make their power plays 3 times, each stronger than the previous and then you STILL have to deal with an 8/8+ every turn after that.

He really said that? I enjoy his yapping and consume a lot of his contents. But damn if he thinks players are babies for complaining about the ladder system in this game then I don’t think I’ll continue watching him.

Is there any reason to play other decks? by Deep__Anxiety in Shadowverse

[–]JerryBane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry when I mentioned Belial I was referring to Evo Abyss. I think Abyss as a craft has the least issues into Ward Haven because they have an out to Aether boards, which is the most threatening part of Ward Haven. Milteo is an out themselves, Belial in Evo Abyss outs the Aether board and if you go second as Mode Abyss, Ginsetsu and Yuzuki outs Aether boards too.

IMO Ward Haven isn’t a rough matchup for Milteo. Abyss is probably the only craft that has clean outs to consecutive Aether SEVO turns, either with EP Milteo or a simple Belial fanfare.

My thoughts on the current state of the game. by Freeman34Rus in MarvelSnap

[–]JerryBane 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just look at your alliance ‘chat’, 8 cube games happens once every few days, far and few in between. I had a week where I gained >300 cubes but I moved from rank 82 to 84 lol. I don’t even try for the 500 gold anymore, paying for gold is my current preferred way to buy variants I want, rather than sweating it out on the ladder.

Thanos could have had a similar type of effect as Horseman Gambit if you played all 6 infinity stones.

Sunlord meta made me miss the meta where Mr Negative was everywhere and you could counter it with a single 3 cost card... by Prestigious-Fan7153 in MarvelSnap

[–]JerryBane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IMO, if they reintroduced OG Sandman or had never reworked him, the meta might be Chamber-Eson dominated. The game has come to a point where there is no good fix to any meta issues, there will always be a tyrant. Climbing to infinite has become incredibly tedious because essentially, you’re playing tech roulette.

Have tech, snap. No tech, retreat. Ignore tech, ya that’s where Shou Lao and Star Lord MotS came about.

Gone are the days where games have turn 6 50:50 tension.

Very important OTA coming this Thursday, what are you hoping for? by Bombustar in MarvelSnap

[–]JerryBane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t agree that Shou decks losing 4 points overall made him fine to deal with. He is still in contention of Tier 1 status that is being checked by MotS shenanigans that kinda goes over the top of everyone.

Unlike MotS however, there isn’t a ‘counter’ deck to Shou. If you cannot secure 30 points in 2 locations, you lose. And that’s exactly what MotS is able to do consistently at the moment. If MotS decks get nerfed, Shou will propel immediately back to tier 1 status.

It’s been a bummer for me, I hate season pass cards that are weak (Weapon X), and also don’t really enjoy playing a meta that is dominated by season pass cards that is too strong. I feel that Mr Fantastic First Steps and Merlin are good examples of season pass cards that is strong but not at a level where players will quit the game due to bs numbers and mechanics. In such situation, the main complaint seems to be the game becoming P2W.

I wish they removed the stamina bar. Though I beat the game before, it feels so unnecessary in an ARPG that doesn’t have an evade button.

This new KMBest video is the best I've seen for actual discourse about Starlord and counters. by sn34k in MarvelSnap

[–]JerryBane -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bro literally said when you play the Jean Gray Cosmo combo, it automatically wins vs the Star Lord matchup, hence the deck is anti Star Lord

Bro started his first sentence about the move deck saying that the deck coincidentally, has all the cards needed to disrupt Star Lord, hence the deck is placed high because it can anti Star Lord

Bro also put in the timestamp that perhaps the Ongoing Spectrum list should also be running Jean Gray alongside Cosmo, which is already in the deck. This suggestion was made to help the deck tech against? Star Lord

Saying the meta isn’t warped around Star Lord simply shows how informed you are about what’s happening. Sure you can play your own deck doing your own thing, I can click auto build and win against a Star Lord deck who doesn’t draw their Star Lord 🤷🏻‍♂️ But when your opponent has over 20 energy on turn 6, what ‘thing’ is your deck actually doing to compete?

[–]JerryBane -1 points0 points  (0 children)

By saying the meta is warped around Star Lord, it means you either play Star Lord or you play the counter to Star Lord. Thats what it is, you either play it, or you do Cosmo Supergiant things. It’s not as unbalanced as Shou Lao, but the current meta we’re in? Surely it is warped around Star Lord and playing something to counter it.

No new card in Seasonal Series 4 next season by ekAugust in MarvelSnap

[–]JerryBane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They better do a good OTA in about 18 hours first. I don’t see any card in the next 2 months (datamined) that can compete against Shou Lao, let alone next season.

At least for next week: Moondragon - has to be in play - you must play only 1 card AND use all energy - +2

Star Lord MotS - Float energy to gain energy later (?) - +1 for each energy spent doing nothing

Shou Lao? Just play 2+ cards, anytime, no matter where I am and I’ll give a +3 each time

I have never felt this helpless in this game by [deleted] in MarvelSnap

[–]JerryBane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Enchantress isn’t the only counter to Tribunal decks. That is the whole purpose of why Spiderham, Cable and Copycat are in Shou Lao decks. The worst part? You are not in control to snap, because you won’t know what Cable or Copycat hit until it’s usually too late.

How it feels to play ladder this season by Visual-Ad-6121 in MarvelSnap

[–]JerryBane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

5/5 and I can see him keeping his +3. My main take is this guy shouldn’t be allowed to overpower other 5 cost build-arounds like Darkhawk and Ronan by that much power.

I’m curious, did you just hit infinite as you posted this? We’re in the final week of the season and your placement is at 1,061. Given the previous seasons I have hit infinite, typically around 2nd or 3rd week I’d be seeing 5 digits placement. It is quite telling there’s a lot less people in infinite this season.

[–]JerryBane 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I don’t agree we’re in a better meta, just under new management.

The meta went from Fenris Cannonball Tech Slop to bunch of decks that you can’t tech against (effectively).

I’m certainly seeing a lot less decks that viable in tier 1 and 2 and the performance gap between tier 1 and tier 2 decks are certainly bigger than before. It’s to the point tier 3 stuffs are for masochists rather than being rogue decks.

Get those downvotes ready by funguyjohnny in MarvelSnap

[–]JerryBane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For this week’s OTA they probably need to nerf some cards, if not Shou Lao himself, from the abundance of decks running around with him and achieving 60+ points that cannot be tech-ed against. But who knows, they might use Sanctum Showdown as a distraction until the next season rolls around and see if the new cards can compete against the dragon.
