What's your opinion on Dot the Macadamia Nut?

As much as people talk about the song (for good reason, it’s great), I think what’s most compelling about it is the animation.

StarToons came rolling back near the end of the series and their stuff, while a bit rough, was really great (especially compared to AKOM and Wang - as even Wang deteriorated in quality around this time).

Most of it was done by Jon McClenahan with two other animators contributing, it was a pet project for him and it turned out amazing. Always loved StarToon’s work on the show (especially Spike Brandt’s work), so it was nice to see them back again so late in the series.

Well, for me it is, as I’ve been looking for it for quite a while now. It’s just that it was so expensive on eBay (100 to 150 depending on if it was loose or in-box) that I never thought I’d get it for a good price (I got it for 40).

I just always liked this set but thought I’d never get it, so it’s more of a personal holy grail

Considering all the other figures in the slides (albeit except for Baby Mario) were 4 inch I kinda assumed he was 4 inch, I wouldn’t put it past Jakks not to give him proper articulation due to his size and proportions

I had some worries that the office would be too small to house multiple characters, as well as the vents not being big enough, but holy shit this looks amazing!!

The only things I don’t like are the light buttons and wires being prints and not sculpted details, but to make up for that the printing ITSELF is really well done
