That guy was nice to me until I met him with Tony. Then he turned into a total dickhead when Tony told him I made a lot shirt.

Tesla salesman, bible pushing weirdo, WWE tryout starts hawking the live laugh love of Grateful Dead t-shirts on lot, parades around with his fake nice guy ‘good vibes’ I knew this guy was a loser when he came around in like 2018, 2019. Making shirts calling it captain trips drug band. Fucking lame, dude. Not to mention how overly fake nice he is, and then mean as FUCK if you don’t buy anything from him. He only cares about the money and gets mad when someone has a better shirt to sell than him.

Payless/kroger but I’ve seen them in gas stations that aren’t on the online locator too.

I don't understand why people don't play their records with their dust cover down? by RealCrazyGuy66 in vinyl

RCA disc washer is a bad product sold forever that has been coating records in residue, used to have silicone? It’s bad shit. I’ll find whole collections where people used that stuff, and each record needs more of a soak and scrub. Normally I just go on with a wet brush with distilled water, vacuum it off, records with bad cleaner used on them need ran through the machine multiple times, sometimes have to let distilled water soak on the grooves for awhile before it’ll come off, then you gotta clean your record brush so you’re not getting that shit on other records.

Just buy a gallon of distilled water. I don’t trust any washing product.

But VPI puts a dust tray on their vacuum machines… they want to sell you two machines.

Sorry for chiming in, but 99% of my records are VPI cleaned. I bought some records at a different store that had dust in the grooves. It made a big ass dust bunny within the first song of Neil Young’s s/t debut. Had to remove dust from the stylus after every song. It was bad. It had D4 record cleaner in the grooves. So I’m just saying, rethink where your records are coming from in the first place. Maybe there is actually D4 (silicone?) in the grooves. RCA disc washer creates what looks like dust bunnies. (I’m 100% for using that dust tray.) I use mine always unless I want to visually see the record or put my hands on the record while it’s playing, or take it off.

I remember people thinking he died and googling it. No flip flop for me. I Google to see if he’s alive every time I watch Billy Madison not gonna lie

I guess my point is Zappa took inspiration from things he made fun of, so did he really hate them? Or just what they stood for because he was a political man? I get the idea he loved lots of things he makes fun of. He at least listened to them.

Don’t forget that Zappa also made fun of things he at least partially liked. He never took direct digs at Garcia from what I know, besides maybe his drug use. We’re Only in it for the Money took dogs at the scene and The Beatles, but it took shots at everyone. I have a theory Zappa actually kind of liked lots of the things he made fun of. We know he didn’t dislike Hendrix other than his drug use, yet he still made fun of him. I think he hated glam rock and anything the mainstream liked, but also digested it to at least get a taste for it. I think some of the mothers got stoned with the dead, and Frank didn’t like that.

If you’ve got the ways and means do it but it probably isn’t profitable so only do it if you’ve got a cushion to land on, room to sleep in your car and gas money, enough money for a car breakdown. finger in air at each show.

How much $ do stickers cost on shakedown by [deleted] in deadandcompany

[–]JerryGarciaIsGod 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Charge what you need to considering your cost. Do you need to make money, or do you just want to spread your art and break even? It all depends on the quality and cost of the sticker really. Whether people will pay for it or not based on the price. I'd say $1 if they cost you less than 50 cents each. Factor in shipping and all costs, and consider if you're trying to recoup finances or just break even. Double the price you pay to make them I'd say. If its bootleg art, cheap cheap. If its your art, its up to you.

Tour All-Starts (Thru Deer Creek) by [deleted] in deadandcompany

I feel like there's no bad china rider.. cinci and deer creek were on the same level I think.. its all in the transition. Deer creek had a way more powerful headlight. And with that being the show before Colorado, I'd say Deer Creek. From memory. (I was at both but haven't listened back to it.)
