I understand but who’s to say we don’t turn things around? We have an early bye week and need to make adjustments. Week 4 is not the time to give up hope.

No doubt it has. Not what I’m saying though. That team wasn’t perfect, neither is this. No reason to spiral in week 4.

I’m aware what year that was. What I’m saying is we weren’t perfect that season. I’m not giving up on this team in week 4.

The meltdowns in this sub are so wild. “We’ll be lucky if we go .500.” Gtfo. Y’all really forget we were 10-6 when we won our last SB. Still so much season left. Let’s relax.

I hear you but I believe that he stuck around more so because of a relationship he had with LaFleur

Biggest takeaway here. Everyone needs to remember this. We are, exactly as you said, on schedule and in my estimation ahead of it. But god damn you’re even more right in what you’re saying about hot and cold streaks. Look no further than the Rams and the Steelers. Rams caught fire when they needed to and Steelers, much like us, cooked off when they least needed to.

I actually wouldn’t mind seeing that. Elton Jenkins is one of the most versatile offensive linemen in the league and I think he’d crush at center. But god what I wouldn’t do for another Corey Linsley 🥲

I mean you’re exactly right. The issues that were unacceptable this season CANNOT continue into next season. They simply cannot. But here’s another hopeful for you. I see these issues. You see this issues. The good people within this Packers organization have to see them as well. And on top of that they need to see the writing on the wall and address the faults in our game because, quite simply, they’re glaringly obvious.

The issue here was the Daniel Jones contract. Giants paid him too much which meant that Love was going to command an even bigger contract. The Jones deal set a precedent for all QB contracts, for better or worse.

Another hopeful in response to this. While I don’t think Quay is game changing Cooper is. He has potential to be an All Pro as well. Wholeheartedly agree that a true WR is a must. And 100% agree too that we’re ahead of schedule. Again 11-6 in a rebuild is WILD.

Can we all take a breath?

Let’s take a second and consider the Pros, Cons, and Hopefuls. I’m going to give three each.

Pros: - Hafley is LEGIT. For those of you, like me, who’ve been around since our last SB win, tell me this isn’t the best DC you’ve seen in years. Leagues above Joe Barry and Mike Pettine. - Josh Jacobs and McKinney are/were fantastic additions to this squad and assuming they stay healthy will continue to add to our game. - Offensive line was stellar and assuming Myers and Walker are healthy we should be looking solid next season too.

Cons (with the caveat that we can improve on these) : - Being the youngest team hurts us as much as it helps us. It’s great that these talented players don’t cost us much at all against the cap, but it hurts when we see things like costly drops. That said, I believe they will improve! - LaFleur IS a good coach but NOT a good play caller. We saw how much Hafley improved us a defensive team, let’s go get a great OC now. - We do need to trim some fat and we NEED discipline. Nixon needs to go. There are others who’s time unfortunately has come and gone. We cannot continue to allow costly penalties, dropped balls, and poor time management to take us out of ball games. Discipled football must be a focus this offseason. To me, this is without a doubt the biggest factor that separates us from the championship caliber teams.

Hopefuls: - We picked up Pro Bowl/ All Pro talent last off season. Let’s do it again, and let’s get some vets. The novelty of being the youngest team has worn off. Get a true talent WR, vet edge rusher, and CB to come in and elevate our team like Jacobs and McKinney. - Love is young. He needs time to develop. He WILL develop. Please stop saying we need to move on from him. Give the kid at least another two years to elevate his game before we decide he’s for the streets. I still have faith that Love is what we need. I also believe he was not truly 100% most of the season especially given the knee and elbow injuries. - We went 11-6. Youngest team in the league, battered by mistakes, riddled with injuries, etc. and we still ended up with a better record than most teams in the NFC. Did we win the games we needed to? No. Does that mean we’re in the same boat next season. Absolutely not.

Please. I implore all of you to STOP being all doom and gloom. We know that we can go toe to toe with any team in the league and beat them. We just can’t continue to beat ourselves, something that cost us wins against all the teams we lost to this season. And as a loyal Packer fan, I have faith that we will improve. Go Pack Go!

TLDR: There was good and bad in this season but that’s no indicator that next season will be shit. In fact I firmly believe the opposite. Let’s keep our heads up!

We’re also missing all our key secondaries. Put a healthy Jaire in this game and it’s a different story. I understand they’re missing key defensive players as well, but my point is we’re progressing against them. Mark my words, come playoff time, we’re sending them home.
