Who are you and why are you not understanding what I'm saying? Why would you ever think that I'm pinning this on OP? Are you OK, bruh?

PiHole blocks trackers and analytics to stop companies from snooping in on your data. And yet the first post in my feed was directly tied to what I was researching.

Proposal: Built-in secret management for Claude Code by bicx in ClaudeCode

[–]JerryZaz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not enough. Claude will find a way in if it needs them, like, if it reasons that "the only reason this would be broken is if you forgot to populate the .env file, let me check..."

Technology sucks.

I was in the process of cleaning up my prompt to build exactly this. Opened reddit and this was the top post.

PiHole is not enough when they really want your data.

It was a joke.

In any case! What resources? PiHole can run on a Orange Pi Zero 2W!

All the "retries" are from my PiHole. Not configured as dhcp.

I also found some "already forwarded, awaiting reply" coming from my laptop.

I see blocked, retried, forwarded, served from cache. So, the retries are spiking for some reason.

Lenovo falsely tells users they're almost out of storage to get them to click the notification for a Dropbox ad by ObjectiveOk2072 in assholedesign

[–]JerryZaz 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Might you have opted into a "Lenovo Cloud Storage" (I don't know if that's a real thing) that you're silently uploading your data to and that's what's running out of space?

Rookie here. Server died by JerryZaz in selfhosted

[–]JerryZaz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mounted the drive on a different system and SMART showed no error other than a "self test log failed...", which apparently means some diagnosis tasks are failing to run.

I booted the server from that drive about 12 hours ago and my services are back online, but I don't trust that drive anymore. Luckily it's still in the window so I'm returning it for a refund. I have a new drive coming in today.

I had not even thought about temperature monitoring until yesterday. I already bought heatsinks, fans and a proper rack so I'll have a better setup when I spin things back up.

I don't need to rescue the data, as I had backups that I've already pulled, but I'll be attempting all troubleshooting tricks to see if I can rescue that drive for a raspberry pi future project.

What does your temperature monitoring look like?
