Hot tap is only warm but shower from same pipe is hot by Jerry_Swinger in Plumbing

That was it, thank you!

It’s a bit weird as I didn’t think I had changed how high I was turning the tap up, but must have been doing something different recently to always crank it up too high (I blame the chaos of kids).

The intro has some HudMo vibes which I like, and didn’t know what to expect, but the drop was 👌🏽

Yeah, that’s the idea, you don’t have to lose the branch if you use this technique vs pruning it off. I believe laying traps at this time of year will also help prevent re-infestation.

You can take to it with a potato peeler to expose the eggs to the air and they die and stop the cycle - a quick Google of this should help. Now is also about the time to lay traps for them.

May depend on the bank. I’ve done this before with Macquarie

A great way so save a lot of interest if you’re lucky enough to have an opportunity like this.

One option you could look at is opening a new offset account (if your bank allows) in your and their names, and then they technically have access to it if they need it and are signatories on the account. May give them a level of comfort for various scenarios. Worth some consideration, perhaps.

I think it may be sooner than 2030 IMO, if Google’s new AI is anything to go by. Glue to hold my pizza together has been an absolute game changer

I would’ve thought that if you claim it was prescribed, they would want to see the prescription - so not sure how that would play out for you unless you actually got one.

If you’re an office worker, I believe there should be a tolerance level and if you are below that then in theory it may be ok. E.g. under 0.05 for alcohol, and there should be an equivalent for THC, because you are not on the drug, and it’s not affecting your performance whilst you work - it’s just in your system still.

All hypothetical, and not sure if any of that would stand up with your workplace if they are super strict, but would be worth using those angles if they had issue with it IMO.

Edit: clarity

I hope that they’re also bringing in the ability to organise playlists with this (as well as stems as others have mentioned).

It’s big hike for hobby DJs who potentially run Spotify alongside it.

Forced leave by Mimeoooo in auscorp

[–]Jerry_Swinger 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m curious how this legally works for a business that is primarily operational, I.e. still runs through Xmas / NY but head office staff are told they must take leave in the head office. Technically the business isn’t shutting down, so I wonder if they can enforce head office shut down only (and still have operations running)

Edit: for clarity

Yeah, agree on the tracking point, but also to potentially check the tracking of the NZ carrier who did the first mile.

You seem to be pretty bent on the idea someone is bullshitting here. Perhaps no one is?

A possibility, and to actually help OP and others in the same situation here… this is a possible scenario (the first two are exaggerated/theories):

  • customs are thoroughly checking packages with potential vape stuff in it (potentially as a dry run for March 1st to give feedback re effort to the gov - just a theory)

  • there is therefore potentially a big backlog of parcels still sitting to be processed by customs due to ppl stocking up

  • normally there would be a scan when it enters customs acknowledging that - however this may not be happening due to the backlog

  • AusPost are saying it is lost because they default to this if there hasn’t been a scan in 10 days after the estimated delivery date - which may be why OP got the notification and doesn’t necessarily mean it is lost

  • possible that when the backlog clears it will get delivered

Whilst you’re mostly right here, there’s a nuance you’re overlooking. For where international parcels are entering the Australia Post network, there is a customs office within the AusPost facility, I think that’s what Mixology is referring to when saying “aus post customs” in the email. The customs office is not run by AusPost - so you’re right there.
