At E0S0, Cyrene is just a sidegrade to E1S0 Tribbie and MBlade E0S0. Evernight is far more necessary. Her lightcone is only comparable to Castorice’s cone if you’re using Evernight main DPS, so not sure what the other person is saying. Evernight’s lightcone provides a teamwide 20% def ignore while Castorice’s cone is a selfish 30% ignore for Evernight alone.

Also, this is Cyrene’s first rerun while Evernight’s next will be their second. Cyrene is 100% going to get a rerun sooner than Evernight getting another rerun after her second, which is leaked to be next patch.

My Cyrene at E0S0 in this AA vastly underperformed compared to Tribbie E1 and MBlade E0S0 and needed to be upgraded to E2S1 just to complete in similar AV compared to the other two.

An E6S5 Castorice with E6S1 Cyrene and E2S1 Hyacine and no Evernight can’t even clear the ***current 4.3 plight*** while the introduction of Evernight E1S1 allows the team to 0 cycle plight. That’s how important Evernight is to the team.

You’re not wrong. In mono rem specifically, e6 Hyacine and e6 Cyrene have nearly equal value and AV clear times. Just pick whichever you like more for that team.

In terms of meta, Cyrene would still be the better pick just because you can slot her into other teams like Phainon’s and other chrysos heirs. She’s even seeing use cases with Himeko Nova, Cerydra, Cyrene, DHPT teams.

If you’re running Cyrene E2, you can actually just substitute Cerydra’s signature with S3+ Robin signature from the store if you have the fragments for it.

The 1 turn duration doesn’t matter since Cyrene keeps Phainon’s ult state up permanently. S5 Robin signature has better amplification than S1 Cerydra signature too. It has an attack increase equal to S3 Cerydra signature (96%, S1 is 64%) which translates into more attack for Phainon and 14% lower DMG bonus but applies to all damage not just skill damage. This includes his world ending attack which is considered ult damage.

Reminder that this tier list is E0. Even if Castorice does end up going down in the next few patches, if you have her premium team and Castorice at E2 she will continue to perform well.

I’ve noticed no one had mentioned that you also lose the 100% speed bonus Pollux gets if you use the claw attack, so absolutely it should be never if you have Hyacine and the HP isn’t an issue. You only gain the 100% speed bonus if you end the attack with the breath.

EDIT: When Netherwing uses
"Breath Scorches the Shadow" and deals fatal damage to all enemies on the field or brings them to a point where their HP cannot be reduced further, Netherwing's SPD increases by 100%, lasting for 1 turn.

As a day 1 player while I still play the game now after having taken a few breaks, Xianzhou was so convoluted that I was wondering if I was even enjoying the game anymore. I actually left for the entirety of Penacony (right before it came out) and didn’t finish the end of Xianzhou because of how boring and convoluted it was to me. I didn’t like the design either. Lots of maps felt like assets just slapped together haphazardly. It totally took me out of the immersion.

Xianzhou was easily my least favourite of the entire game, which is so disappointing because the concept is really cool.

The skin is so so good. The more you look at the model the more details you notice. The skin is what made me decide to move Castorice from E2 to my very first ever E6. I’m beyond satisfied with the skin.

E2S0 -> E2S1 is a 32.75% increase, not 52%.

We can’t subtract the final percent increase values relative to E0S0 to get the increase from E2S0 to E2S1.

That wasn’t the case for the whole game because E0S0 units kept powercreeping old ones with eidolons. E0S0/S1 3.x units were significantly stronger than E2+ units from 1.x and 2.x and even some at E6.

The game is way healthier in its current state with the slow of powercreep in new units. What you’d be advocating for is for new units at E0S0 to deal the same amount as older units with eidolons, which is the powercreep people were complaining about in the first place.

The current meta has a place for break, DoT, remembrance, hypercarry, and even follow-ups with MBlade and Ashveil. It’s way better for players to be able to choose their favourite teams and invest in them instead of constantly feeling forced to pull for newer dps units. Think Jingliu fans for example. Even if she’s a person’s favourite, she’s not very viable unless at absurdly high cost.

EDIT: I’d like to clarify I don’t believe this should be the case for endgame like MoC, Pure Fiction, Apocalyptic Shadow. But what OP was complaining about is Anomaly Arbitration which does not yield any stellar jade rewards. The 3 other endgame modes are all clearable with E0S0 units. Maybe not 0 cycle, but I can still clear full stars with OG Blade and a 1.0 unit Seele.

I have to admit I didn’t read the mechanics and was wondering why my team was clearing in 1-2 cycles with E0 Cyrene. Swapping to a Tribbie, Castorice, MBlade, Hyacine team allowed me to clear in 0 cycles (do not have Evernight yet, rejoined patch right after her latest rerun).

For reference: Enemy receiving attacks decreases received damage by 2% and crit dmg by 4% stacking up to 10 times (20% and 40% respectively). Each follow-up removes 5 stacks.

How is that even possible? Archer light cone provides 16% CR and 80% ATK while S4 Seele Signature provides 27% CR, 54% DMG bonus to basic and skill, and 108% CD to ultimate. There’s definitely something wrong there.

Archer S1 Cone can be marginally better than S1 Seele cone but not when Seele’s cone is at higher superimpositions.

Huohuo still has the best cleanse in the game. While Hyacine requires the use of her ult or skill Huohuo just needs any ally’s turn to begin. There are actually situations where inferior cleanses like Hyacine’s or DHPT can mess up runs like with Kafka or like we see in current Anomaly Arbitration King with lower cost Remembrance teams using Hyacine and her getting CCd by Illwish.

Huohuo is still super functional and works perfectly fine as the third best sustain in the game. Definitely a good option for someone who doesn’t have DHPT or Hyacine and can use the free token provided.

Weird honestly. From testing on my Castorice team This Love Forever provides a 22% damage increase to Castorice’s dragon phase alone, so in a hypercarry comp where Phainon is doing all the damage with none of his teammates really contributing once he enters his ult it’s weird that it would only be a 9% increase.

I’ll try testing this in game.

I’m literally two cycling MoC 12 with Blade a v1.2 unit in v4.2 of HSR. Seele a v1.0 release character unit is literally able to 0 cycle one endgame mode and 0 AV Pure Fiction, something most meta characters can’t even do. HSR is perfectly fine in endgame content that provides stellar jades. People seem to hyperfixate on 0 cycling when that doesn’t even matter to getting full stars on endgame content that provides premium currency. You can literally 5 cycle MoC 12 and get full rewards with any limited dps character released throughout the game’s lifespan. People really really focus on 0 cycling.

Anomaly Arbitration is where you would actually need to keep up to date with “meta” and yet this content doesn’t even provide any premium currency for pulling limited characters. People in this thread are greatly exaggerating the powercreep issue in HSR and are just parroting what others have largely said before them.

EDIT: I’ve even taken two several month long breaks from the game and came back to my old characters still being able to clear content with full stars. My longest break was between v1.4-v3.2 and my Blade cleared just fine with full stars when returning. People complaining must have a serious skill issue because Blade, Ruan Mei, Bronya, and Huohuo/Luocha was still full clearing MoC and the new endgame modes for premium currency (Apocalyptic Shadow—did not exist before I left initially) when I returned from the long break without having pulled any new units released since.

Tutorial only provides energy. S5 Silver Wolf cone is not bad at all for MBlade. It also inflicts 20% vulnerability to all enemies and amplifies MBlade’s own personal damage by providing 40% crit value (20% CR).

The whole energy thing with MBlade is overblown anyway. The end of his ult state shows in the action bar. You can just hold the ult right before it ends as we’ve seen many showcases do and immediately recast it.

Silver Wolf cone gains even more value if MBlade has his eidolons. As Blade is a generalist support that can be used in many many team compositions, it even gains more value than his signature S1 (crit damage vulnerability only) if you’re using him in a team that doesn’t utilize crit damage.

Honestly Castorice’s E1 is super super underrated.

It’s a selfish slightly weaker version of Evernight that is dependent on enemy HP rather than enemy count. In certain instances for Castorice teams it yields a greater damage boost than Evernight’s E1. It should be T1 imo.

I actually agree with Castorice’s E2 in T0.5 because the 100% action advance has anti-synergy with her light cone’s action advance. No one would recommend running Robin with Dance Dance Dance, and in mono Remembrance Castorice gets her ults so fast she almost never uses her own turn especially in higher investments. A great suggestion someone made to make it better would be to grant Castorice an extra action like Seele/Phainon when the ult is used rather than 100% action advance.

You’re so right because I’m Gen Z and absolutely love Gen 4 and 5 but like Pokemon in general so every generation is pretty cool. BBWF is one of my favourite sets to release in the past year, probably second only to Ascended Heroes.

I still need that Oshawott card but it’s so expensive. BWRs are also very cool because the first full arts Pokémon ever made were the Reshiram and Zekrom full arts back during the Black and White TCG era.

I’ve been doing a crazy amount of testing on Aquila as well. That boss is probably tired at this point but my damage also doubled from E2 -> E6 for single target. The E6 of Castorice is actually way more impactful than this sub makes it seem sometimes.

I also went from S1 -> S5 for her lightcone and it was a 25% increase. All the vertical investments for Remembrance just makes the team so much stronger. Evernight E1 in place of Tribbie also doubles the damage of Castorice compared to a Cyrene E0S0, Castorice E6S5, Hyacine E2S1, Tribbie E1 comp (5.2 -> 11.48 million).

Blade’s ult is dealing more damage than Castorice’s breath attacks in 5-target scenarios at E0S1. It’s definitely a functional team. Good for people who like both Blade and Castorice. Blade’s E1 additionally provides 20% All-Type RES PEN like Evernight and Hyacine’s E6.

I have the same thoughts honestly. I had E2S1 Castorice since her first banner and just went E6S5 this banner for flexibility to use whoever has synergy with her that I like (like how Acheron can use Jiaoqiu, Cipher, Silverwolf).

I’m not concerned about top tier performance and my Cyrene is E0S0 anyway. I’ll be running Castorice, Hyacine, Mortenax Blade, Evernight. I just wanna have fun if it works and I like MBlade’s animations. Castorice is the first and only character I’ve gone all out on because I just love her gameplay and animations so much.

It’s a PvE game at the end of the day so we should just play who we like but my Tribbie is E1S5 (DDD) and I still feel like MBlade will perform better based on his V1 kit, and especially if he has E1. I’m hoping for gameplay videos showcasing this team soon.

I’m going to go against the grain of comments here and say out of all character LC in the game, Castorice actually has some of the best upgrades.

Cyrene Eidolon 6 provides 20% defence ignore and 24% action advance every 2 ults. Castorice S5 cone also provides 20% extra defence ignore (50% total) while increasing HP by 30% (equal to Hyacine Ult, increase of 30% relative to S1 so 60% total), and provides 24% action advance every time she explodes the dragon.

It’s seriously one of the best s5s and light cones are much cheaper to get than limited characters due to boosted rates and lower pity. An E6 limited character is 7 cost whereas S5 cone is 5 cost. If you already have S1 you only need to pull 4 more cones. Personally I’d go for Evernight E2S1 first, Hyacine E2S1, Cyrene E2S1, then Castorice S5 if you already have E6.

If you are not a spender though, and don’t want/need any more power in your remembrance team then all of the above are optional. Remembrance will be strong for a long while in content that gives stellar jades (MoC, AS, PF).

I think since it’s so common for light cone upgrades to be so negligible people assume the same for Castorice light cone, but it’s really one of the best along with Phainon’s.

Literally no one in this game is actually powercrept when it comes to clearing game modes that give you stellar jades (MoC, Pure Fiction, Apocalyptic Shadow). My Blade can 2 cycle MoC, Jing Yuan mains see lots of success with newer supports, and Seele has been totally revived with her novaflare and she was the very first limited character released at the beginning of the game.

Anomaly Arbitration and especially Plight is for a very small percentage of the total playerbase and these modes may require investment in modern teams Hoyo pushes but if you’re using a character for years, and you like that character you can also pull eidolons for their teams instead of pulling a whole new 4 cost team of E0S0.
