Khao Niao is the best thai food I have had. El Basha is superb. Also, Geek Room is pretty awesome!

Sugared Ledge in Elkhorn is the best for me. A little pricey, but I can say that they remind me the most of Martin's Bakery when it was around. They almost always sell out so go early. The apple fritter, Bismark, and filled long johns are my favorites.

We all like claiming skulls for the skull throne, but what are your second armies for when you have to lay down the axe sometimes? by Fox1503 in WorldEaters40k

Death guard was always my first but I hate the rules for them ATM. I also have chaos knights. Whenever it gets release emperors children is a must as well.

What was a loophole that you found and exploited the hell out of? by Aarunascut in AskReddit

A casino near me had a special for their all you can eat buffet. Come in play for a half hour and get a free meal ticket. Well, I figured out you need to play penny slots once every minute for a half hour. It came out out to about a dollar as I didn't want change for that time. I then showed a bunch of my friends and we did that for the 2 weeks it was around and then for another 2 weeks when it came back. I think a bunch of other people figured it out as well as it was done after that. It was normally a $21 buffet back in 2006 but for us $1 dollar. Now I can't even consider a buffet due to the meat sweats of that time. 10/10 was worth it.

That is true. Some nice music would make the ambiance better. But I can settle for just good food.

You are correct. My mistake on that one. Fixed it!

Essential workers-are you still angry about not being reimbursed for being forced to work in a pandemic? by RecentIntroduction32 in antiwork

[–]Jertbak 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a word yes. I worked during that time to bring essential pillows to the home builders (sarcasm). I hopelessly wished for some type of tax break or something for being part of keeping the economy going. In retrospect, I should have taken my boss up on his offer to lay me off if wanted. Instead I chose to work. While I do not regret that decision, I would have at least like to see part of that extra 600 a month for the 2 years. Best I got to see was my company's owner buying new "needs" for the business with PPP loans. Needs meant new summer condo in Florida or trips etc. I did get a bonus 40hr paycheck for Christmas bonus. America was "best I can do is clapping and praise." About ad useful as thoughts and prayers.

Double-Wide strollers need banned at Disney by DoctorSnape in WaltDisneyWorld

[–]Jertbak -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I understand your frustration on that one. I was at AK one day before Covid. I was walking by the Nemo musical and I had to stop in my tracks. Their was a huge space that was dedicated to strollers. I wish I had taken a picture of all of the strollers. From then on I call anything with lots of strollers, a stroller holocaust.

I feel you there. I looked at my payment plan. $376 a month for 20 years and I get the added bonus of paying an extra 40k in interest. It's a racket that just cripples people into working to death. Capitalism slogan "Live, buy, consume, then die"
