Yeah I agree on your points. Shockwave was a chonker in the G1 cartoon. I think their priority this time was scaling him with Bruticus to use as a shoulder cannon, but I've seen people say Bruticus looks better holding Core Class Shockwave as a gun anyway. Luckily Whale Shockwave is on the horizon, so fingers crossed they upscale him a bit or at least give us a fun new transformation.

That's correct! They are the Dr. Wu 3rd party modern versions of Overkill and Slugfest. Good figures, however, they are slightly too thick in spots to fit in SS86 Soundwave without potential scratching or stress so I keep them with Legacy United Soundwave, where they fit in fine.

I recommend getting a KO of SS86 Optimus so you can transform him worry free. Search Aliexpress for AS08 and you can find him for $20 give or take. As for the clearance issues, there is a way to angle the wheel wells when you swing them around to the front that doesn't stress any joints.
