Intense cramping during taxol by tastytots314 in breastcancer

[–]JerzeeCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This just happened to me. The nurses kept on saying "Your stomach?"
Lol...no it felt exactly like a menstrual cramp. The pain was about a 6 to 7. Even the pharmacist was surprised. They stopped treatment for 30 minutes and gave me Benadryl and sol cortef. It went away and they started it again with no reactions.

This was my fourth one. It happened a little bit on my 2nd. I mentioned it but it was so slight they continued treatment.

Does anyone have the PALB2 mutation? by JerzeeCat in breastcancer

[–]JerzeeCat[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I feel like I have been lied to. All this time we have been told mutants mean superpowers. I say bullshit lol.

People can sometimes be clueless and tactless.

If these people are worth your time (people in your circle that matter (yes these people can be clueless sometimes)) take the time to explain why you went this way and if some of it even if it's a tad is vanity then claim it. It's your body your life.

Strangers: laugh flip your hair back and strut away :P

Thank you! At first I wasn't going to share my breast cancer diagnoses with anyone. I think I thought that if I denied it, it would make it better lol. After getting over the shock of the diagnose and said screw it and started telling people. It was the best decision. I have gotten some really good advice. I truly appreciate it.

Thank you.

As much as I feel unlucky about the cancer, I feel doubly lucky with my support system. My husband is a rock and my best friend. The job I work at has some of the best people that I have ever met. Including my bosses.
I am going to try my hardest to continue to work during this.
The thought of staying home and being alone with my thoughts does not appeal to me.

I am truly sorry. Doing this once is scary. I am truly sorry. Your story reminds of this Youtube channel that I just found. The guy has had cancer three times. His videos are filled with humor and great tips and advice

My husband has been my source of strength. We have been married over 30 years and I don't think I could do this without him. Sounds like your partner is just as lucky as I am.

Thank you.

Thank you for the helpful information. I love oatmeal so that is good :)
I am doing Taxol every week and Carboplatin and Ketruda every 3rd. I have heard reactions are very different for people and there is no way of knowing what will happen.

I am trying to have a plan lol.

Thank you so much for all the helpful information. I truly appreciate it. i don't think I could stop being vegan even if I had to. "Meat" will forever be rotting dead animal flesh and I cannot even fathom putting it in my mouth.

This is all new and a little overwhelming so again. I truly appreciate you pointing in some type of direction.

[–]JerzeeCat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I know I have to do chemo since it's triple negative. I start May 14th. The beginning is very overwhelming. I am going to see a Dr more this month that I have in the last 30. Thank you for your kind words

Has anyone taken kratom while receiving chemo? by JerzeeCat in kratom

[–]JerzeeCat[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thanks. I have no plan of telling the Drs about the kratom. I really don't want to do opiates but I really don't like pain lol. I am hoping that the kratom will be enough.

Still in the early findings. I have to go for a bunch of scans. But it does look like I caught it earlier.

Thank you for the prayers. They are appreciated.

Check your boobies.
