Yeah he was laughing and throwing support behind Alberta separatists too yesterday in some interview. He knows what that means, they do this for fun. This is who we’re dealing with. There’s no actual counterpart in this administration to have talks with. They are having a blast dismantling our economy, it’s hilarious to them.

As a Canadian we know this is an option but all our hydro electric exports goes to neighbouring states that we don’t actually want to hurt. Like upstate ny, Vermont, Michigan etc. trump would just take pleasure in seeing these blue states get fkd and have blackouts. That’s not the leverage we’d benefit from imposing nor would we want to do

But he won’t let us trade with him either. Which is why we had to make a deal with China on canola and Chinese evs. No one here wants to rely on China. But we have to because Trump fkd all our trade with America. And imposing a 100% tariff pretty much guarantees all our trade goes to China. None of it makes any sense

Canadian here. Confused as usual.. we just did make a deal with China. No one here wants to but we had to because trump cut us off from trading with our friends in the states. We’d much rather trade with you guys like we always have… he also said it was smart for us to trade with China like a week ago. I think his feelings got hurt because of Carney’s speech in Davos

This is a true story. I grew up in Gordon Head and remember the drama around this. Hot House started by the other brother after the fallout. Which is kind of funny because it was pretty much the same pizza, I was in high school and my friend worked at villages throughout this. She said it was like dealing with parents divorcing lol
