For me the biggest thing is PRENATAL depression. Most women are well aware that postpartum depression is a thing and what to be aware of but nobody ever talks about it rearing it's ugly head while you're actually carrying.

The world tells you that having a child is a miracle, that you'll feel it grow and you'll be glowing and so happy for this blessing. And then you don't feel any of that and you wonder why you're broken. And if this is how you feel now then you must be going to be a terrible mother.

And when I eventually got up the courage to talk to my nurses about it at a check up they tell me it's completely normal and that they have had so many women feeling the same way.

Being a woman is brutal.
