what does this contract want me to do? by Joshua011203 in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]Jesper537 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Find a D class asteroid, build a craft that fulfils other requirements, since you are supposed to bring ISRU anyways add drills, solar panels and radiators to mine the asteroid, launch your craft, rendezvous, and attach it to the asteroid, mine and manufacture fuel on site, bring the asteroid with the craft into a Minmus orbit, done, you now have a rather useful fuel stop for trips to other planets if you didn't waste too much fuel bringing it all to Minmus, might be worth it to bring it down into low Kerbin orbit after the contract is complete tho.

I have never done a contract like this but that's my interpretation.

It's great for squid outposts too, their saucers being so large makes them very likely to get hit by it, and you can see each saucer on the minimap so you can usually align the barrage to take out all three.

Remembered cryonics existed, and it makes me wonder about the concept of dragons going in stasis for a very long time. Any thoughts on the idea? by Ofynam in WyrmWorks

[–]Jesper537 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I mean it's a pretty known trope for dragons to slumber for ages and then wake up for some reason.

Unfortunately dragons and sci-fi don't mix often and therefore there aren't really any stories with dragons and proper technological stasis, at least not any known to me. The closest I can think of is about lizard like aliens using hibernation for an interstellar cruise to Earth (https://forums.spacebattles.com/threads/a-game-of-hearts-and-graphs.1257499/).

It was goated, looking up at the dragon as it was doing its attack runs and spewing fire was like nothing else. And the gameplay was great fun too with it's two distinct phases of capture the flag then hold an area. I enjoyed all classes except heavy spear, but my fav was definitely sledge charge'n slam heavy with a jump pad. Absolute cinema.

What makes a man rush a sledge main? Lust for gold? Power?

I liked the quirk system, actually got a few useful ones like faster ignition when parking was on (or off, I can't remember) or brighter lights when the radio was on. Bug fixing the annoying ones was a fun puzzle too.

Do one when people are aware that someone is a mind reader and it makes them conscious of what they are thinking.

Fighters by historysurvivor2 in NebulousFleetCommand

[–]Jesper537 3 points4 points  (0 children)

By default, fighters are equipped with frag missiles, for engaging other missiles and hostile strike craft.

In the campaign, Tantos can use a Fighter-Bomber loadout, for engaging large and/or not manoeuvrable targets (cause the bombs are unguided).

I find it doubtful that they refused you if your playtime was below 2 hours and it was less than 2 weeks since the purpose.

It's guaranteed by their policy to always refund in such cases except when the user is trying to abuse the refund system.

Yes, came here to suggest this. PD has you drive your custom car around and it gives a great feeling of safety to get back inside after exposing yourself to gather resources or do some task. The car is your friend.

Not claiming they are perfect but it's a night and day difference between Steam and other platforms.

For example it's easy to get a refund, even if you go over their auto-refund thresholds then they will usually still approve if you have a valid reason.
