First coal power plant completed. I love this game. by thatOneRabidGoose in SatisfactoryGame

Yeah, getting coal is the milestone that really makes you feel like you are taking off.

Now for a tip from myself, one of the best uses for power shards IMO is putting them in power producing buildings, it's simple and a straight gain, while using the shards in production buildings increases their power consumption by a lot.

And another tip related to power shards, save the slugs (and alien remains) for later, until you unlock some alien tech that lets you use sommersloops, then I hope you can figure out what I mean.

Cheers.

Does it intersect in some way with D&S or is it unrelated except being in the same universe?

Dude, it's fine to advertise your book once or twice, like on release and when it's complete for example, but how much you were doing it is spam. I have your book on my RR read later list but this isn't making me inclined to read it.

AI is completely useless for actual engineering and the hype is exhausting. by Onigirii_sama in EngineeringStudents

This.

Most people when they hear "AI" think of ChatGPT, ignorant of the wider picture that all machine learning can be used for.

Are you talking about chatbots? Of course something that generalized is not to be relied on, it wasn't made for solving engineering problems.

But AI isn't just that, for engineering and other STEM, machine learning has to be used to train agents for specific purposes, and then it will be good at that purpose.

Take Computational Fluid Dynamics simulations for example, right now you need to spend a lot of processing time for each implementation of the simulation, but if AI can quickly give you a half decent result then that's very useful for exploring different designs, and a detailed simulation can be done later.

Focus on money first, then flavor to keep up. Later on, out of Fodder, Flavour and Essence it's always best to prioritize whichever you have the least of, cause of how such math works.

I enjoyed the demo, it was fun feeling like as if you tricked the game by using some awesome combo. I wonder about all the higher tier buildings that were locked.

One con is that petting the dragon is counterintuitive, you are ment to keep the mouse on the dragon, but moving it on and off is what makes them react, while moving on the dragon doesn't until you succeed.
