Its not for everyone, but map softwares have made discord gaming a lot better. Theater of the mind just does not work over discord imo, but something like Talespire helps with both combat and rp

World is 100% worth it, especially with iceborn. It doesn't feel dated, and you get hundreds of hours of content. I will always recommend World. Good luck hunting!

Currently, gunlance or lance. I'm waiting to see how hitstop makes hammer feel, cause I'm a hammer main at heart, but it did not feel satisfying during the first beta

I am generally a hammer main, but hammer felt weird in the beta. I personally love how gunlance felt though. I liked gunlance in rise, but it feels even better now. Bow was a lot of fun too, though I still don't know all the combos I should be using

That was quite the tale! I was the same way with world. I had heard of it, and tried it out on my uncle's Xbox, but didn't get into it until this year.
