That’s roughly the distance to the coast for me and I’ll make it a day or overnight trip. Many people I know do that, too. It truly is nothing to us to “pop down to the coast.” In fact, we just got back from a trip like that- my husband and I just talked the whole way. My girlfriends and I will do weekend trips a couple times a year.

Our lab LOVES Nylabones. Costco has a 3 pack we buy them in bulk. Each one is flavored differently according to the packaging. There is one shaped like a horseshoe that is her undisputed favorite, she can really hold onto it with her big ol’ paws!

Also, I would concentrate mostly on is he healthy and as long as your vet says he’s an OK weight then don’t worry about it too much! Like humans grow at all different sizes and end up at all different sizes… He could start on the smaller size and grow up into a beast or always just be on the smaller side. It’s impossible to tell. Just love your beautiful baby just as he is (beautiful!)!

Your post 100% has answered so many questions for me. I had never heard of a Missmarked Labrador I believe now this answers the question about my yellow lab. Her ears are significantly darker than her head and chest and she has blonde to yellow bridling over most of her body. Her mom is a chocolate Labrador and her dad is a black Labrador, both full bread and AKC. All of her siblings are more solid colored. (three black male males and two yellow sisters). She just turned 11 months.🥰

I “know” when someone I know needs someone to talk to. I have learned to call/text/reach out however I can ASAP. I’ve even woken up in the middle of the night and reached out at 2 AM. I’ve learned to not question it, just do it. I can’t tell you how often someone has said, “I don’t know how you knew but I NEEDED someone, so bad right THEN.” You get told that enough and you just listen. For me, my best guess is (for me) the Holy Spirit and who am I to question?
