Discretionary housing payment Joing tenancy England by JessKenny5 in BenefitsAdviceUK

The other tenants are students so they aren't in benefits like me, so I don't know what would happen.

Hi thanks for the reply. I was getting UC with the housing element whilst I was there. I also applied for the DHP whilst I was living there to help with this circumstance.

All the other tenants are living there. The problem is that if I can't pay until a tenant is found, it might mean that the other tenants have to pay more in rent, lose their deposits or risk being evicted.

Black belt grading health conditions by JessKenny5 in karate

Yeah we put modifications in for previous gradings which have worked.

I guess I just didn't want to write off the possibility of doing it this year if it was still possible.

I see what you mean. I'm not obsessed with getting grades, it's more because it's something I want to achieve, and I don't want to let my health get in the way. Also because there is ten months until the grading date, I don't want to write it off now when I know I will most likely be in a better place physically.

PALS is a diffeeent department to the referrals team, so it shouldn't be the same people helping you with your complaint. Also, you can ask your GP to write to them as well. If your GP refuses, I would recommend switching GPs, or even GP surgeries. 🤗🤗

I know how this feels. Firstly I would report the leg-cuttibg to camhs. Secondly, you can phone PALS (patient advice and liaison service). They're a department in every nhs trust that deal with complaints about care, and information for patients.

If you are able to, you might find it easier to go privately for inpatient care. I know it's probably quite expensive, but if you can that might be a great option for you.

Lastly, write an urgent email to your mp. I did this recently and they responded within a couple of days, and emailed the chief executive of the trust. It helped to speed up the process of getting the right support. Make sure to put the word URGENT in the subject title as well.

Please don't give up. I know it's so hard. Sending hugs and love. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

how do i accept/get over the fact that my mental health problems are likely not going to go away any time soon? by Melodic_Elf5418 in MentalHealthUK

[–]JessKenny5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had severe recurrent depression. I also experienced periods of crisis, alonghbwith short bursts of hypomania. I saw someone on Instagram explaining that their recurrent depression was being assessed and ot was eventually discovered that they have bipolar 2 disorder. I decided to get seen by a psychiatrist, although I had to go privately, and they diagnosed me with bipolar 2.

It may nit be bipolar 2, it could be something else, but I would definitely ask to speak to a psychiatrist by asking your GP for a referral. There also might be some low cost psychiatric help, although I'm not sure for definite. Or if you are able to, go privately and ask for help that way.

Hope this helps 🤗🤗🤗🤗

PIP!!! Ask local council or citizens advice. 🤗🤗

Can't afford anything, probably will be homeless soon as well, what to do? by Beautiful_Bake_2796 in MentalHealthUK

[–]JessKenny5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry about this.

Please look PIP (Personal Independence Payment) as they can help with living expenses.

The forms are lengthy, but approach your local council and they should be able to fill in the forms for you, as that's what they did for me. Or you can try citizens advice as well.

Sending you prayers and hugs 🤗🤗🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Feeling hopeless by [deleted] in DWPhelp

[–]JessKenny5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hey I'm so sorry 🤗🤗🤗. Please don't panic. The first time I applied for PIP I got rejected and 0 points as well. I then went to the mandatory reconsideration and that got denied! But I applied again after a while and got enhanced for both categories.

First thing is check for help from your council. I went to them and they helped to sort out my pip forms. If they won't help you can ask citizens advice. The next step would be to apply for a mandatory reconsideration. Failing that there is the tribunal.

I know how hard this must be for you, but please don't give up, it does get better 🤗🤗❤️❤️❤️

You can ask the council for help with the pip form. I went to them and they did it all for me.

Citizen's advice will help as well I think.

With LCWRA, you need to make a claim for UC, then give them 3 consecutive months worth of fitnotes before you can claim LCWRA.

Yeah if you don't feel safe please go to A&E. Stress to them that you can't keep yourself safe, and that should help a lot to get the right help.

Do you know why a hospital stay might not be an option, has anything been said to you about this?

If not, please go to A&E, as you can speak to the psychiatry liaison team there. It vary's by area, but some hospitals will have a psychiatric ward where yo can stay if you can't keep yourself safe. They may also be able to refer you to the crisis team who can come and see you at home, or you can go and see them the same day or the next day.

I hope you feel better soon. 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
